Late again, but here are the new rankings going into the all star break. I even put some little commentary next to each team. Good luck in the cup tonight everyone who is left!!

POWER RANKINGS
1. Chicken Hawks, 21.396 He's taken over the #1 spot with average ratings consistently over 8.0. Really deep team.
2. Super T Rex, 20.030 He's got the highest salary and the best record. His only loss came to me in the first game of the season. Can he run the table the rest of the way?
3. Natellio, 16.959 I'm starting to fall a bit behind the two guys above me... but still haven't lost a game with my best 5 on the court.
4. CA Foreigners, 14.966 Interleague play has been rough on the Foreigners, but he's still putting up really good ratings, and is thus distancing himself for the rest of his division.
5. Lumberjacks, 9.818 Made some big sales the last few weeks, which has left his roster a shell of it's old self. Let's see what he does with the extra cash though...
6. Thunderhorse, 7.791 Hanging around the playoff picture and had a really good win against the Foreigners. Needs to finish strong in interleague play to stay in the playoff hunt.
7. East Gary Eagles, 6.882 Last season's runner-up having some trouble this time around. Slim chance he winds up in a relegation series, but he has some work to do to pull into the playoff picture.
8. Eclypze, 6.785 Smedlock is slowly creeping up the rankings and no one should be happy about it. Carrying a really large total salary and probably the best all around player in the league, Eclyzpe will be a force if he's in the playoffs.
9. lakey, 6.614 Bouncing back from a 3 game losing streak, lakey has won 2 straight and is firmly in the playoff picture, and really close to grabbing home court for at least one game.
10. The Door Mats, 6.170 The Door mats hate my equation. Low salary and low ratings mean nothing to this team as they always find a way to compete. Still in the Cup, only PD away from the 1 seed, and gave Super T Rex a run for his money at home, these guys are better than #10.
11. Cow Lickers, -5.182 Big drop off from 10 to 11. Cow Lickers really going to have to work to get out of a relegation series.
12. The Officials, -12.076 This is a team of streaks. They won their first game, then dropped 5, then won 4, and have now lost 3. Maybe they'll find the next win streak at the right time.
13. The Veggies. -15.427 Still in the Cup, they have a reasonable PD, so a couple wins in the league could pull them into the 5 spot. Would be tough to pull a playoff run though.
14. Demon Hoosies, -17.211 Not sure they'll make the playoffs this season with that PD issue, but I don't think he cares. No way this team relegates.
15. New North Star, -17.301 He's actually trending up with his ratings, but I'm not sure he'll be able to pull out of the 8 spot. Too bad, too. Had some really bad luck at the beginning of the season.
16. EBW, -41.562 Really doing well getting that #1 draft pick. Had a good Cup run, though!

Thank you for your rankings and your comments again.

You are totally right and honestly I have the worst intra-league schedule among the three.
A rival game with you and a TV game with the Hawks at the same week. It is hard to deal with your twin towers whereas no stars are at my team. I am not sure if I will become #3 seed when the season is over.

However, the two good things to me are: 1) I never place my best five players in any games I played this season, and 2) my weekly balance is still a plus, regardless the bonus from those cups.

I think I got a benefit since my last game I went TIE and my opponent went Normal.

As an observation, I don't know where my team is going. I am stuck with some players that don't really fit my team, and I don't think my trainees are going to get where I want them. So it is quite possible I blow this team up in the near future. But I can't do that mid season. We shall see...

You'll see no complaints from me if you blow it up tomorrow. Just sayin'.

You mean IV? I think your team actually has potential to make a late season run for 7th and you have enough fire power to do well in a relegation series.

If I were really diligent in my planning and scouting, I'd be looking at the top teams salary to income ratio. The league average is still a pretty big profit, but I suspect that is because of a few teams. Right now the league is in a bit of a stalemate, kinda like it was 3 seasons ago. There are several teams carrying pretty big salaries who are capable of promoting, but are still feeling each other out because they aren't so dominant as to just crush opposition weekly. On the other hand, there are several of us now who are ranked lower who are probably capable of blowing out the competition if we really decided to. The guys at the top are especially vulnerable to us if they blow their wad early. But we're unlikely to do so when their are so many teams who are both impatient and in charge of good rosters.

In terms of income, we do have a few team with HUGE arenas. At least much bigger than past seasons. So, some of the higher salary teams may be ok if they're selling the seats.

On the other hand, there are several of us now who are ranked lower who are probably capable of blowing out the competition if we really decided to.

Don't get any ideas...

Power Ranking time!!

A little shakeup on the top, but nothing too drastic. What's incredible right now, though, is that 5 of the top 6 teams are in the Big 8. That will be a fun playoff battle...

Back to conference games! Amazing that the playoffs is only 4 weeks away.
