My two cents on the subject.

The thread, if not anything else, raises the issue of community uncertainty over the new GE and shot block changes.
Sorry but its Game 2 of the season and we still have nothing but unofficial GM's' confirmation that the new GE in functioning. We thank them for that, but we still don't know how the engine works, hence all the arguing.

Yes, the sample is minimal, non existent really. But even if we had 20 competitive games under our belt with the new GE, without BB clarifications about it, it would be very risky drawing conclusions.
This is because, we still wouldn't know, which areas of the game its supposed to affect.

1)Is it just the blocking(purely in averages) department?

2)Are post shots going to be altered more as well and 2pt percentages drop significally for those teams unprepared and insisting in previous tactics and/or set ups, against good shotblocking bigs?

3) Could the design be, for them inside focused teams, being forced to shoot more 3pointers in order to avoid raise in blocks and alterations?

So, come on BBs, end our nerves and anxiety!

Well, I was doing my own research and my 1st game I ran a 2-3 zone against a LI and I only blocked 2 shots...(59645499)

Tonight I ran a 3-2 zone against and I blocked 7 shots...(59645507)

I will be running zones all season just to see what happens...but I agree with everyone...2 games isn't enough data.

Today my rookie who has a whooping "3" in SB, almost broke the league record. I LOVE IT!

And he went 2-2 from the three point line. Clearly they've over-boosted outside shooting to arcade levels. This is awesome!

And it seems like your league record is 9 blocked shots.

Thats why I used the word "almost". He would have broken it if he had played more minutes though.

All the changes are finally here. I'm in favor for the GS drops on transferred players, lowering a forfeiting team's draft position by one per forfeit, and the possibility of putting a time period on new managers voting.

Now we'll have to see if the SB changes will do what it is intended to do. I just wish they would tweak the salary formula on SB, and especially JR. That would really help people deviate from LI, in my opinion, as opposed to making changes to the effects of shot blocking in the GE.

I would also like to see the BBs fix the disparity in the economy concerning losses and wins. But the other added features are a step in the right direction.
