It's a good thing all these players stink, or I'd be miffed.

Anyone want to weigh in with playoff predictions? I'll go with Extra Crispy b/c of that defense, but I could see Arizona (I assume that new 146k player is eligible for the playoffs?) or maybe Milwaukee (w/ a possible easier matchup in conference finals) taking it too.

Yes, he is playoff eligible :-) I bought him just under 23 minutes before the deadline :-)

Milwaukee has a very good team, so I don't mean any disrespect to them, but this has pretty much been a two team race all season. The team I have now is light years better than the team that I beat Milwaukee with earlier in the season, and Extra Crispy beat Milwaukee on the road to prove they are too strong to lose at home....I just don't see any way that Milwaukee can overcome the HCA that Crispy or Arizona will have in a Finals series.

Extra Crispy is WAY better than their payroll would indicate. Their ratings are also deceiving as to how good they really are. For instance, Extra Crispy is one of the top 2 rebounding teams in the league, and yet their rebounding rating each game is not very impressive. Even when they destroy a team on the boards, the rating does not reflect it Their overall ratings never jump out as overly impressive, and yet they rarely had a game that was close as they destroyed the league in the Point Differential edge.

Their front court has been absolutely dominant all season, the motivating reason for me adding the big I just added. Prayerfully I get a good bump in his GS next Friday or it won't matter anyway. I think going into this week I gave my team about a 35% shot of pulling an upset road win in the Conference Finals verse Extra Crispy....I hope it's now up to 50% but I just don't know....in the end, I may have just blown a bunch of a money and set my franchise back a season....but to be this close to promotion; it was tough to not go for it.

That said, HCA in BB is so huge, I just don't know if i have enough to steal a win on the road...if I were forced to bet real money, I'd have to bet on Extra Crispy Promoting at this point...but i am hoping to pull off a big surprise.

On a side note, we hear all the cliche's in real life (about sports) about how important each game is, and not overlooking an opponent etc. I am kicking myself so bad for an early season loss to the Barbaric Yawps. In that game I outsmarted myselfand put in a scrub to to get some reserve minutes....For some inexplicable reason the GE subbed him in with a 1 minute left in the game in crunch time, and Barbaric hit back to back 3 pointers in his face erasing a 6 point lead with 36 seconds left, and the game went to OT where he continued to get torched and we lost. I was so mad when that happened, but it's a frustration that has lingered all season because we should have finished with just 1 loss, and HCA locked up, but instead faced with playing a great EC team at their home place!

Like they say, every game is important! You just never know when a loss is going to come back to haunt you!

All comes down to 2 things.

An injury to anyone and that team is pretty much out.

The magical game shape genie... Based on my low minutes for my two bigs I should max for Saturdays rematch.

So if your guys max I would give you the edge... There's just that little blow out from before that keeps me thinking I can win against AZ.

Oddly I think I match up better this season against the Dukes than any other playoff team. That wasn't the case over the last few seasons.

Sigh. Yeah, this season has been more of a disaster than I was expecting. Barely squeezing into the last playoff spot at .500 was not quite what I was hoping for.... Or maybe I'm just lulling you all into a false sense of security :-P

Not that I was exactly "going for it" this year, but I thought my team made some important improvements during the season. However, it didn't really translate into results - I had a .500 record as well, one more win and 100 lower PD than last year, and an early Cup loss. Hope my fans at least appreciate that I slipped into the playoffs, but they tend to forget these things. Oh well, time to get ready for next season.

You have a very solid team! Your record is not a refection of how strong your team is. Tonight my team was really tough from about 3 minutes left in the 1st quarter until about 2-3 minutes left in the half, and then we controlled the last 5 minutes of the game...other than those two stretches, 17 or so minutes total, you controlled the rest of the game tonight. I think I was fortunate you guessed I wouldn't go Look Inside or this game would have been a lot closer!

Good luck next season!!

If it were me, i'd have hoped for about $2.5 million combined for those two players and received about $1.5 mil and then be pissed.

That said, the timing of those sales is certainly questionable....if GS Warriors were going to relegate anyway, why carry those players all season? Those sale price are pretty darn sick...but considering they blew $2.7 mil keeping them on the roster this season, makes the net gain far less impressive.
