I haven't updated much in a while, so I figured I owed one. So, I've added a new section: the bb-training blog! To quote from the first (and only) post:

Some of the analyses coming out of this project don’t lend themselves to a simple figure, or table, or whatnot, so I’ve put this blog up as a place to share some of the results in a more free-form setting. I also want to use it to explain a bit more about *how* the results are being acquired. This is important because for a lot of things, the data is not cut-and-dry clear, so I think it’s important that everyone be able to evaluate the methods for themselves, and decide how much to trust the results. So without further ado, our first blog post, on trying to identify and characterize the ever-elusive elastic effect.

Enjoy!

Great, great blog post! I didn't think I would learn something new about elastic effect, but I did. And your arguments are wonderfully sound. A really great read, especially for those who train bigs.

Thank you very much!
Amazing analysis!
Bad that i sent just 8 weeks of shot block training and we still don't have enough data for SB, but hope that in the near future you will have also this skill in your analysis:-)

I think ID is severely slowed down by low SB. I don't know if RB relies on SB though, but I always thought SB is the "glue" that speeds up or slows down both ID and RB, same as HA speeds up or slows down PA and OD. However, I don't think slowing of ID because of low SB is really noticable, because inside skills train so fast on tall players. Also more and more tall players train at least a bit of OD which trains also ID.

maybe... to prove that, we need more data about SB training ;)
So, let's train SB, Brothers :)))

For those that may have missed simon's awesome spreadsheet, make sure to take a look (229484.01).

I've added a new blog post showing two anecdotes of players that were trained for 7 seasons, compared to what the spreadsheet estimated for each of them to see just how accurate it is (hint: it's really, really good).

Also, I'm going to compute the Season 22 salary coefficients this weekend, so please sync your roster if possible to give us as many players to base it on as possible!

Hey,

I tried to make the updates and it is not working.

On Chrome gives me the FAIL message saying that it could be from too many connections or the language not set to english (US). About the connections I don't know, but the language is well set.

On Firefox, after install the the app and restarting, the click bottom "Send to BB-training" doesn't even appear.

Any clue on how to solve this?

Make sure that you're logged in (go to (http://training.bb-usa.net/club/home.php) and make sure it's not asking for a password) and that you don't have any cookie-protection/privacy extensions running. Otherwise, it may just be that there are too many connections, so wait a bit and try again and see if it persists.
