Season 21 All Star Game Player Profile
This season, the players who got the all-star nod are well spread out among most of the teams in league II.1. Clearly it shows how close competition are among the teams in this tough league and the number of talented players. However, these are the players the fans feel are the cream of the crop, the best moves/ the clutch shooter/ the most entertaining/ Mr charming of league II.1 for season 21.
All stats are inclusive of cup games
Big 8 Starters
The big 8 starters comprises of mostly players in their mid-20s, often said to be the prime of their basketball careers
PG Viktor Kolbasin - Hoop Magical
Stats: 25.8mpg, 22.2ppg, 51.8 FG%, 84 FT%, 3.6rpg, 2.9apg
Viktor Kolbasin is an explosive PG acquired by Hoop Magical in Season 18 for $ 906 700. In the past 3 seasons, he's been playing in Maties Bover's (u didnt forget him did u?) shadow. However once Bover left, the spotlight suddenly went on Viktor showing league II.1 what we might have overlooked with games like going on a 41pt offensive tear on juntion 9 and 39pt game against KKTAN. Fans love his innate ability to score in a bunch and the confidence he brings to his team.
SG Antonio Roseti - Hoop Magical
Stats: 20.1mpg, 12.1ppg, 48.0 FG%, 89.5 FT%, 2.1rpg, 4.0apg
Antonio Roseti is the 2nd out of 3 of the Hoop Magical guards that make the backcourt of Big 8 all-star squad. Bought by Hoop Magical last season for $336 500, he's been contribution silently to Hoop Magical's success. Usually the 1st guy off the bench, Antonio is the energiser bunny for the team, the guy that hustles for loose balls, plays defence, offence or whatever the coach wants him to and of course, a recent fan favourite for Hoop Magical.
SF Nicola Veridiani - Bobbleheads
Stats: 42.4mpg, 53.5 FG%, 39.2 3FG%, 4.3rpg, 5.8apg
I'm sure many would expect Nicola Veridiani to make the all-star team. Nicola Veridiani is a well spent $1723 300 for Bobbleheads late in season 15 and has been putting up great numbers ever since. This season is so far the best for Nicola Veridiani with career highs in pts, rebs, asts. A natural talented scoring machine (67 pt game against Sugar Ray anyone?) that leads the league in scoring he also does his best to get his teammates involved. Look out for this centerpiece of Bobbleheads as they try to win it all in league II.1.
PF Rudolf Godovnikov - rajons team
Stats: 42.7mpg, 25.7ppg, 53.7 FG%, 21.2rpg, 1.8 bpg
Rudolf Godovnikov is bought by rajons team in season 21 for $324 900. Even though he's more of a natural center, he's been shifted to PF position to play alongside Chung Wen Xin making it a twin tower nightmare for visiting opponents. He probably is about to spend his last 40mins as a rajons team player (possibly due to contract issues) but his contributions have been nothing short of great. Hauling in rebound after rebound and backing down opposing big men like they were children is what Rudolf does every night and rajons fans are proud to have him selected after Chung Wen Xin was (surprisingly) left out. We wish him all the best in his new team after the all-star game.
C Seow Yeng Jian - Pacific Storm
Stats: 36.0mpg, 17.1ppg, 57.6 FG%, 15.4 rpg, 1.3bpg
2 time all-star (make it 3 now) and Singapore's national team player "Rebound King" Seow Yeng Jian (SYJ) makes the team again and this time round he will be one of the starters. Drafted by Pacific Storm as the 13th pick in Season 13, with plenty of hard work and hours of training and being pushed around, SYJ is well on his way to Singapore's Hall of Fame. He might be abit undersized for a traditional center (6'9") but he plays like a 7'4" giant, out-jumping and out-pushing centers bigger than he is. Steadily improving his ppg season after season SYJ will be the face and the iconic player of Pacific Storm for a long time to come.
