Bench Blows it Up

well the Mountain Eagles lose again this time to BPI Robbiemen in a score of 93-75. The "player" of the game was PF Stillfried who had a double double of 15 rebounds and 14 points. Ye Huaien was shut down by BPI's defenders. Tough throwed a chair, punches a BPI fan and gets tazzered and gets dragged out of the building. So now the guy holding the press conference is Coach Steven Wilson, because tough has been restricted from Robertson Memorial Fieldhouse for 1 whole year. "Man, our bench was horrific, we have no depth whatsoever. But this was a good team and I'm surprised we held them like this." Well in the first quarter the Mountain Eagles had stormed out the gates and took the lead, they lost it in the closing minutes but they were still holding it through trailing by only 2 at the buzzer. But then late in the 2nd quarter, Steven Wilson decides to put the bench in for the Mountain Eagles, letting BPI go on a run and lead by 13 at the break. After that the Eagles had no way of coming back, and they never did. "I can't believe this team. This is humiliation on National TV. This is BS." Says Ye Huaien. "Man I grabbed every board I can. Ye and I did our best. But Conroy, Weinstein weren't doing their job and Sol was being like Kkwame Brown again shooting terriby everywhere. The only reason he scored was because he got dunks. Thats the reason. I did my part. Ye did his part. He just got shut down by their defenders. Now we gotta go home and we better win against Detroit Hoyas and goto Revs THunder and beat them. We need to win and winning starts NOW." Said Ulferd Stillfried. Here's Sol: "We were a bad team today. I wasn't even able to score. thats my fault. I can't even score against these guys. I am training as hard as I can and I will make sure by the end of this season I will be a much, much improved Center. I will make sure in Season 23 I will become the Most Improved Player of the Year. Thats my goal. Then in our promoting season I will be shooting for MVP. I want to become the centerpiece of this franchise. And I will." Well tough and his team right now are leaving to go the shuttle bus, going to the air port and flying back to Houston, and will be going there with some angry fans. But what they hope is that come Monday Morning Detroit Hoyas Star players go to free Agency and then go Bot. And it'll be an easy win for Mountain Eagles then.
Well this is Dvid Robertson, reporting for The Eagle

Ya, Im slowly getting younger players... Sold Hernandez and JCP who were 37 and 36, but were both very important last season... Got 33 yo PF and C, so still old, but way younger. Hoping to get at least one big thats 30 or below soonish...

Been spending all my money in arena, my goal was to spend a total of 1mil by the end of the season (including all seasons) and already got to 939k, so close to my goal, might be able to do it before the ASG and then I can move to getting a good big whos young...

No doubt it was a bad decision selling delong and coleman, the old guys ya, but the trainees were coming along great, I was very surprisesd u sold them both...

yeah it truely was Now if Delong and Coleman turn into beast Ima be pissed off like the Charlotte Hornets when they traded Kobe Bryant.

well right now I got $1,740,300 spent on my arena. My goal will be to get it to 2Mil by the end this season. Of course I got more into the game faster than you did (like by a month or so. You were like inactive for like 20 days lol. Then I seen in the next season you were like buying guys all over the place lol) and of course I did some buys and sells that were bargains. Thats why I spent 1.7MIL. Well gonna get my arena to 10k as fast as I can right now ;)

Gosh looks like 6 seasons in V.89 paid off for Bodes look at his arena he got 9400 seats soon...........man looks like my arena advice helped But he still got too many luxury boxes...at least he is set for a very very nice welcoming to D4 with the amount of cash he is making a week.

Ya dude, I think theyll both turn out to be great players, I have this bad feeling that ull be sad u sold em...

Damn dude, u spent twice as much as I did on arena, u got into the game earlier, but not by much... Ur arena is nice, Im working on mine, butnwill be a while to get to a good size... I spent a lotta money on signings, but Im still positive overall, made great sales, made tons of money on some players... U should get to 10k soon, mine will be a while but I hope to get there eventually...

Ya dude, Bodes has a big arena, he didnt build smart, but he still built a lot, hes been ready for D4 for a while, hes just had bad luck in the last few seasons...

I think i'd agree that it's at least one of the tougher divisions in DIV.

I think investing in more seats is a smart decision, but i think that you could just as easily supply enough depth to ensure you stay AND add a few more seats by seasons end. Literally you have maybe 4 players that are DIV or better quality (your SG is DIII quality at least, whereas the others are fringe DIV if i'm being honest).

Every minute that Conroy, Carbo, Weinstein, Sobie, Fritz (getting replaced), and gunter play, the worse off you are. Ideally, you only have 2 guys that are going to hurt you way down at the end of your bench if you play the 9 man lineup or 3 in a 10 man lineup.

I go out and look on the transfer market, and see guys like Marc Puig for example at the cost of no more than 5000 cash at point guard. He's probably got Conroy beat by a bit in several different categories. Is he the best? certainly not, but he immediately upgrades you now, and is serviceable if you stay in DIV for a while. You can make a whole lot of these small 2-7k investments, maybe pick up 4 players, and in total raise your salary after cuts/sales of roster filler down to maybe 6k total in raises. Why not spend that money on a few smaller moves and then keep spending game checks on arena?

yeah Ima get some cash in that arena.........after I buy my allstar Fritz replacement. My Bleachers is reletively small for a DD4 team, while my LT is above most or all my D4 teams, which is gonna be a luxury in the future.............sure I will get some replacements that are more balanced.

I will shoot for a 9 PA 8 OD PG, a 8 OD 8 JS 7 ID SF and then keep playing and see what happens. haha that guy is dumb for getting Fritz, but maybe he can mold Fritz into a moderate D5 machine (Basically Fritz can only start in D5 level when a finished product. and could Backup at D4 level. Other than that he probably isn't very good) But I'm still going in for the draft.

After I get that PG and SF I will then get a 6th Man thas a Guard. a 9 JS 8 OD guy. So that's 3 guys on my shopping list. After that I will spend on arena until it hits 10k seats level...........or this:

8000 Bleachers
2000 Lower Tier
250 Court side
12 Lux

which is a lot of cash to spend but I may have something.........next season, the same thing. I will put some cash in my arena and keep my current roster.Get 7th and beat up on my relegation series opponet.

Then in the offseason I get a Great Guard acquisition thats a 25 yr old 40ker..............of course by this time I hope that Sol and Vasko are ready to compete at great D4 levels, and hope I would clinch my first ever D4 playoff birth in S23.
