Looks like there was a fine change in the estimated salary
much closer to reality than lets say, a week ago...

yeah, i'll share it once i have something i'm comfortable with... basically, what i'm seeing is that applying the correction that josef ka added for salary "monsters" actually makes the formulae worse. so i'm trying to figure out if (1) we don't need them anymore, (2) i'm doing something wrong, or (3) the changes they've been making mean those equations aren't the right "shape" anymore. in the meantime, i've updated the equations with my best-guess-so-far.

Just curious - I got the information, that another pop in side shot on a guard player would -REDUCE- the player´s salary by $12 - how come?

If player is changing best position (pg, sg, sf, pf, c) based on one pop, it has been in every salary calculator that salary may drop. There is different formula for every position. Not sure if this will happen really in BB.
Not sure if this is your case....

Well, the change normally would only happen if the new position has equal salary or would exceed his hold, the training sourcing thingy doesn´t seem to take that into account though. Nevertheless, just wanted to point it out, as I found it kinda ... odd

Potential formula and salary formula are different. Player best position is based on potential formula, not salary formula, I think. I think someone could check this out if this would happen also in BB

I know, I´m not talking about a negative impact on potential though ;) Straight money here...

Are we making some progress in the other areas of the analysis stuff, such as influence of trainer 6 / 7 coaches et al?

Are those graphs going to be online at some point again?

Had to re-install Firefox and can´t seem to get the GM script running.
It shows active. The page (...Training) is recognized, but the "upload training" buttons won´t appear. Using GM 17.01 and FF 18.01. Any technical advice?

Not sure... my GM expert is out of town this week, so I'll check in with him when he's back.

As for the question up thread about salary dropping... it shouldn't really happen, since salary is chosen as the max of the salary calculated for each position. The problem is with the "salary-monster adjustment", since that's applied *after* the max() is taken. But the adjustment that i found for this season's data was very, very small (to the point where i should probably just exclude it), so while you can see a drop, it shouldn't be very substantial.

To the other question up thread, I'm getting close to a solution to putting all the analyses back online. The probably won't update in real-time, but that shouldn't matter too much since most of the data is pretty stable at this point. Work has gotten in the way of me making more progress on this, but hopefully it won't be too much longer.
