Looking more in detail at the player who popped 2 levels in one week (Daryl Edwards) - the only unique thing was that I upgraded from a Level 4 trainer to Level 5 trainer on the week he popped.

22/12-28/12 (Level 4) - 46 mins, Inept IS
29/12-4/1 (Level 5) - 55 mins, Average IS

For several weeks I was training Inside Shot (C/PF/SF). He was trained for 2 more weeks (58 mins, 33 mins) but didn't pop again, then I changed to Stamina training.

Maybe the change in trainer affected it, I don't know but I thought it was a strange thing at the time. In terms of his other skills at the time, he had inept Reb, average Ins Def and respectable SB. I can't explain the reasoning behind it. I have no other players who have done a similar thing in my training.

The point of this thread is to determine how long it takes for a player to pop a level, so you really need two pops to generate any meaningful data.

Sorry. Don't want to mess up your data. No more posts for me.

I don't want to discourage you from posting. For instance, if you have two pops on a player, then it would be good to know how many trainings happened in between.

Outside Shooting
SG:
Trains JS @ ?
Trains JR @ ?
Trains DV @ ?

PG/SG:
Trains JS @ ?
Trains JR @ ?
Trains DV @ ?

Team:
Trains JS @ ?
Trains JR @ ?
Trains DV @ ?

From BBCharles, "Driving and handling are very, very similar skills, and training either one will now also result in about 80% of training on the other."

Not surprisingly from the info above, Outside Shooting training also trains Handling to some degree. I had a pop this week.

that seems pretty fast

training PF/C:

I just trained a 19yo in inside shot two weeks in a row (both weeks w/ 48+ mins), and didn't get a pop. This is with a 10 trainer too.

For the most part, they pop every two weeks, but sometimes its once every 3.

Well, I've been training rebounding (C/PF) for 3 weeks in a row now (Level 9 trainer) and have had some good results:

3 players popped each week after training (all had 47+ min).Ages: 20,19,19
2 players popped twice in 3 weeks (all had 48+ min) Ages: 19,18
1 player popped in 3 weeks (25 min - POP, 8min, 0 min) Age: 19

I was surprised with 3 pops in 3 weeks, I doubt whether they would all pop again if I stick to rebounding again next week. I'll now switch to Inside defence for a few weeks and see how the training goes.
