I guess the guys who hold their TIEs till the last four gamedays will crap their pants thinking about how good you used to be two months before.


I'll take HCA and lower enthusiasm over being on the road with higher enthusiasm.

why not both, i believe in this situation tie deals at the end of the season was much more important then before - and so you don't avoid then.

And if someone TIE you before, you could get extra point for getting hca.

assuming you can secure all 4 TIE deals at the end of the season. at least in my league it seems that m-tie's are harder to come by every season.

but they become easier, when the benefits become greater, or not?

And if you have 4 tie, and like to have an advantage from it, you need to do it in a short period, the first tie is pretty esoteric in effect. So you can not just tie the easiest four games in season(or must difficult).

Just couple ideas after reading your suggestions:
Enthusiasam starts with 5-8 value at the begining of season. This depends on 2 things
-last season results (lesser important)
-selling your (best) players (more important)
-buying new players (lesser important)
Enthusiasam rise with wining games (maybe 1 up at every 3 wins, bonus for wining streaks maybe) and drops like you suggested

if you combine enthusiam with winning, it made the top team more unbeatable, and the bottom team coming to several struggle. I don't think that this made the competition funny.

teams who lose most of the games doesnt have high enthusiasm, teams who win do. Can you imagine team who had lost their 20 consecutive game, coming in the locker room happy and joyfull? And team who win 20 consecutive game?
Only important thing is to find real balance between wining and gaining enthusiasm.

could you imagine a team which win a lot os happy but not focussed?
Could you imagine a team, which lost some games but trys to do it better?
Could you imagine a team is happy, which seems to reach his target, even when it just was the qualification for the relegation?

The enthusiam manegent is a tactical decision in this game, and in opposition to lot of other poster i don't see it so unrealistic, nearly all NBA team play with lot more intensivity in the playoff then the regular season(this is what i could say as someone don't follow it often), aand also there are games which was taken more seriously in the regular season then others at least in other basketball leagues.

Maybe enthusiam maybe should call more "energy" like it mentioned before, but the system it self isn't that unrealistic as ever said.
