Yea but I don't like it.

If a player come to a team, he can disrupt the team spirit so your team ent drop.. It's for me the better option.

This is where we hold them!

Especially for teams that promote and thus have come into some new money
and are of course building up to the already well stocked teams at the next level
it seems that the game shape hit should not take effect until later, lets say week 5.
If a new team is still building in the 3rd week, why punish an already understaffed group by handing them another hit with a drop in game shape?

That's far worse - if a team is in the playoffs and is confident of promotion or otherwise sees a player that is a good long-term fit for them, they have to decide to not buy a player because it would disrupt their postseason performances, when in this proposal the player's gameshape hit would be irrelevant as he's not eligible for the playoffs anyhow. It's completely backwards to try to prevent the addition of temporary rental players by making *existing* players on the roster perform worse, which is precisely the effect an enthusiasm drop would cause.

The simple truth is that in the big picture, you're either keeping the player long enough that a short-term GS hit (which we don't even know the parameters of yet) is going to be irrelevant, or you're simply trading players too frequently and should feel some negative consequences.

I think it'd be completely feasible to make playoff additions who can't play anyways not effect the enthusiasm, along with perhaps players below a certain salary(trainees/scrubs)

And the point in that suggestion is? Beeing competitive in friendlies and PL?

Trainees shall get their minutes nevertheless, as will players with bad gameshape in friendlies.

"Enthusiasm" not GS as in I was referring to my earlier support of lowering team enthusiasm instead of GS.

I have only skimmed this thread so if anything I say is reptitive I apologize.

Someone suggested that BB makes all the QFs of every country start at the same time, so smaller countries that have QFs earlier in the season would have to wait until the bigger nations caught up and during the weeks without cup games they can schedule scrimmages. That way a cup deadline would be feasible.

When you fire a staff member you pay a severance fee(their current weekly salary). Why not do that for whenever you fire a player? It would discourage people from buying players for one game and then firing them before the economy update and force people to pay the salaries of the player either way. I dont think it will completely solve the problem, but it could help.

I personal dislike this GS hit. If anything it should just reset the GS to 7, unless they are under 7 in which case they would just stay at what they are. Or even just 1 level of GS drop so 9-->8 and 8-->7 unless its at 7 or lower in which case it would remain unchanged.

BB-patrick gave us a very good reason why enthusiasm drop cant happen. (238664.34)

Perfect, now we need good reasons why GS drop must happen...

New environment, new team mates, missing self confidence, not knowing the game plan, travelling and contract negotiation distractions, looking for a new home and getting the move handled, maybe language issues...

Maybe a tweak...if a newly acquired player plays in any of first three games of the team, the enthusiasm drops for like 30%. If he "rests" for three games and plays in fourth, than no enth drop is required.

On hattrick you have those situations too (they have 1 mil users).
When you buy a player your team spirit (ent) will (can) drop, the player don't become any penalties on his GS.

I thought it would be the same on BB, but seems they have an another idea, we will see how long the penalties on GS will be, and how strong.

This is where we hold them!
