Hmm, things happen in life and in games that you won't like. Adapt and overcome.

How about you give the new system a chance. Perhaps haste is not your weapon of choice here. I will vehemently defend this change, because clearly, the minds who created and run this game know what they are doing. They know far more than you and are privy to far more information about the game.

I understand the need to raise concern, but I feel most of this is garbled balderdash.

Honestly, didn't you think the game would adapt? It adapts, we adapt, it adapts again.
From seasons 1-???

So most of this is garbled balderdash is it? Lets see what your brilliant contribution was. You seem to have made two main points:

1. Changes are needed. Since pretty much all of us have conceded that changes are needed this point is moot. Balderdash if you will.

2. The BBs know more about the game so they must automatically be right. This sentiment is naive at best, since if that were the case we wouldn't be in a situation where changes were required to begin with. I'm not trying to knock the BBs, they have plenty enough to do and do it well, but to claim that they immediately came up with the best possible solution is ridiculous, escpeciually since they themselves admit that it was a rushed decision.

My tone here is only bright and responsive, spicy even. Read it as such.

If their solution isn't the best possible, than who's is? Did anyone write up a five paragraph order on how to improve the site and mitigate issues? Than isn't BBs the best possible? Theoretically yes, there could be a better one, but it doesn't exist in our known BB world does it?


We represent a microcosm of mankind, especially so, if you factor the cultural diversity that exists here. Man has historically exploited any resource, recess, advantage and species he came into contact with, in one way or another, directly or indirectly. We here at BB have done what we have always done, found inherit flaws and used them to our advantage. Now, some flaws are dissipating and man does not like losing his advantage does he?

I defend them fully, because they took our suggestions and their knowledge and evolved the game before it was too late. They will never make a perfect patch. There will never be an immaculate version. That is not possible. So again, adapt and overcome.

Well, because it is a game and when people begin claiming that it is stupid or unacceptable or that there is something wrong with it, it leads me to believe that perhaps their perspective has gotten a bit out of whack.

His alternate suggestion was that "something is wrong with the game." ummm...

If you interpreted my post to mean that I believe people should not be allowed to have opinions then you are a very poor interpreter. It is in no way my position. My position is small forward.

The post of yours I responded to was a general "it's a game people" post, and I just don't see how that response is constructive in any way.

The point of teling people it's just a game is what exactly? To encourage expression? There is no point to it at all except as a means of discouraging discussion, so how does that correspond with your willing acceptance of the opinions of others, or my interpretation of your post?

We agree it is a game, and we agree that it is fun, and we even agree that adjustments will have to be made, but you cannot suddenly assume that people have lost perspective just because they do not agree with specific changes being made.

No they didn't. They saw things were getting out of control and made a rushed move to try and bring things back to normal.

You obviously don't understand what anyone here has been saying at all. The people who benefitted the most from the old system will actually become even stronger now. The top div I teams will still pull in a lot of money but the teams that are in the bottom half of the top divisoins will have no way to compete with them.

Let me make sure I understand what you are saying. Are you claiming that unless someone writes up a detailed outline then no suggestion has been made?

You sound like some sort of half baked philosophy student who doesn't quite get it. I wonder if you even realize how ridiculous it is to say that no suggestions exist because none have been formally set out.

If we don't talk about things we can never get the best solution.

No-one wrote 5 paragraphs, because it really takes 5 lines to suggest an alternative that's at least arguably viable. You must have missed my 20 posts.

It's real easy. Introduce the 'tax' as an arena maintenance cost. If you feel that DIII and lower have no excess income, don't implement maintenance there. But I am still waiting for a good reason why Tooroo should be treated the same as some poor punk with 7,500 arena who just promoted to DI, and was surprised with the news that in 5 days he'll lose 40% of his income, and will be compensated with extra attendance which his arena cannot absorb.

Yes, we must talk about them and that's what we are doing.

I never went to college. I joined the Marines.

How can you be so sure this will further widen the gap?

So they opened the site and said, "omg, things are waaay out of control, we need to change something now, before dinner!" Hardly.

It's probably a mixture of both our theories, and we'll disagree until azure hits our cheeks.

There's is the best.I haven't seen a better one, have you?. So until we get into season six, there's no point in arguing something that may not happen. Just go with the flow.
