Multiple reasons, already discussed with Kozlik:
- He's not my main trainee, Tallis and Medeiros are (canadian players). They need outside training, especially medeiros to counteract his height (inside skills train faster thanks to his height)
- He's too old to train his secondaries. He's short so inside skills train slower than outside skills
- He badly needs passing. When I got him he was at 8, now at 12 but still not enough
- He was trained to be a U21 beast, so got outside training right from the start to develop his primaries instead of developing his secondaries first which is better for NT players. I'm not here to correct that mistake (it IS a mistake to train primaries first on a player with such potential), he's good enough for my team without great secondaries, I got other more rounded players (Limpele, Tallis) for that
In my mind, he's a clear case of miscommunication between NT and U21 coaches on your part. He should have received secondary training first, but he wouldn't have been great for the U21. He should have been a NT first player, not a U21 beast.
He still gets training, he will be a monster guard, probably above 110 OSP when all is done, he just won't have the secondaries, too bad for you, good enough for me
Bonus reason: the only reason I bought him in the first place was because I was U21 coach at the time and he was on the TL right before an important game against you. So to maximize our chances I bought him to lower his gameshape and give us the best chance to win the game (didn't work in the end but I had to try everything). I overpaid for him because of that, but it was worth it in my mind. Now I develop him for MY team, not for a NT I honestly don't care about. I do care about Canada so I do train my canadian players for the NT. In a way you're just unlucky that I need to train outside skills first, but it's fine by me
