So the last match of this season has been played, now my staff and I are ready for the typical work of end season. :)

First of all I would like to thank all managers of NT U21 players who have been in contact with me during the whole season. I think that most of those players are well trained so they will have great chanches for their future in Ireland NT.

I want to make the point that in the current roster there are three young players who I have selected in U21 NT for a only specific reason. They were playing in teams which were going to become BOT. As you know this is the only way to save them. Well, I don't know if all they can play again in U21 NT the next season, but surely they will have lots of probability in the future (if they will be well trained of course). Precisely they are: Darren Jennings, Pat Garvey, Peter Daniels. I hope that they can grow up well because they could be very important in Ireland NT in 3 or 4 seasons.

In the coming days I will start the scouting work with my staff, so I'm going to select and unselect lots of players in U21 NT . I have to update the database with old players and insert the new players (18 and 19 y.o.). Only at the end of these things, when I'll know the skills of all players and if they are trained, I will be ready to choose the official roster ;)

Then we will send BB-mails to all owners of the best players with some advice like this last season ;)

WOW!

amazing win guys..look at this match (11412). Ireland U21 has beat Iran U21, a team which is 26th in the national ranking!

the secret? defense, some good choice (like Osman) and a lot of luck :D

Very nice win, Iran are not an easy team. Great defense to shut them down to only 82 points (plus the 4 in overtime).

The offensive tactic also worked nicely since they went with 3-2. Good job!

We did TIE, they CT'd it. That's the only reason, looking at it quickly. We still should have won anyway, though.

:(

Yes, I thought that having a good TS we would have won easily but we lost. I'm sorry because I was sure to win. :(

I think the tactic was not wrong. I chose those players and the tactics to have good defense ratings... and looking the team ratings we had those, but unfortunately not enough.

Bad luck for this one. :( Fallon's coming off a 35 rebound performance in the league and is itching to get back out there for the NT. ;)

I'm just curious, but is look inside our default offensive tactic or just an experiment for this game? From what I can gather, LI causes everyone to take more inside shots, without favouring the bigs as it could perhaps be interpreted. Our perimeter players are not our strength at all, and I'm assuming their inside shot is fairly poor as well. In theory, their driving would also be quite important in order to get inside to take shots, so if they're poor there then that's also a risk. Would it make more sense to play low post to maximise our strength at PF/C, while maybe minimising some of our guards weaknesses?
