I´m not sure about this anymore- what you write was true around season 10-12. With the current economy and rules, daytrading became WAY less effective.

Zwei Dinge sind unendlich, die Dummheit und das All...

It can still be done, but it just requires a greater time commitment. Once again, managers who feed BB the most page hits get the most wins, regardless of skill.

Also it only strengthens the old teams which built huge bank accounts and sat around as new teams were unable to catch up in the depressed market.

You've described it precisely, and that is why you got an answer that it is "not happening anymore".
I guess from what you wrote that you experienced it not a decade ago, but on last seasons.

Of course, if that was not the case anymore, those who are against limiting the day-traders weren't those who are executing that "BB-strategy"...

And here you raised the old-teams issue that I've raised many times before.
So I guess that I wasn't wrong that much...

Don't you see that those old teams are poor?
Don't you know that also that had been the case up until season 10-12, and now France, Italy and Spain are all new teams?
Oh, sorry. They are no newer than season 4...

How would you have a higher impact, then what it is now?

Dont you agree that there has got to be a better way to stop day trading then limiting the transfers to two short periods every season? How about higher taxes? Longer periods before you can sell players? Longer time before the tax goes up again to 97%? Higher impact from the "I am familiar with the star players..." on the fan survey?
All those suggestion and others are all supported and have my vote for.

It does not mean that shortening the TL period is not a good one in addition to those you've mentioned.

That specific suggestion will also make that those who tank all season long and just purchase before playoff time to change their way, and play as this game is expected to be played.
Otherwise, let's remove all (or most) league games, and start from playoff time...

This issue happens in real sports and is just something that has to be dealt with. I see professional teams over paying for players all the time.

In this game very few players are truly unique. If there is a player that you want and he is way too expensive just keep an eye out and I bet you will find a comparable player within a week if not much less.

This isn't just about "stopping day trading" - it's about making the game playable from a tactical standpoint.

Although you're right, there are other measures that can and should be considered. There should be a 0.5 to 1 season limit before reselling a bought player. The familiarity survey should actually negatively impact merchandise and attendance. Taxes, yeah sure jack them up.

BBs want the TL to operate like it does, however. They get far more ad revenue and don't have to pay attention to the game's broken tactics. It's a great distraction from the actual sim, which is broken and has always been broken. So this is all for naught.
