I think I got a benefit since my last game I went TIE and my opponent went Normal.

As an observation, I don't know where my team is going. I am stuck with some players that don't really fit my team, and I don't think my trainees are going to get where I want them. So it is quite possible I blow this team up in the near future. But I can't do that mid season. We shall see...

You'll see no complaints from me if you blow it up tomorrow. Just sayin'.

You mean IV? I think your team actually has potential to make a late season run for 7th and you have enough fire power to do well in a relegation series.

If I were really diligent in my planning and scouting, I'd be looking at the top teams salary to income ratio. The league average is still a pretty big profit, but I suspect that is because of a few teams. Right now the league is in a bit of a stalemate, kinda like it was 3 seasons ago. There are several teams carrying pretty big salaries who are capable of promoting, but are still feeling each other out because they aren't so dominant as to just crush opposition weekly. On the other hand, there are several of us now who are ranked lower who are probably capable of blowing out the competition if we really decided to. The guys at the top are especially vulnerable to us if they blow their wad early. But we're unlikely to do so when their are so many teams who are both impatient and in charge of good rosters.

In terms of income, we do have a few team with HUGE arenas. At least much bigger than past seasons. So, some of the higher salary teams may be ok if they're selling the seats.

On the other hand, there are several of us now who are ranked lower who are probably capable of blowing out the competition if we really decided to.

Don't get any ideas...

Power Ranking time!!

A little shakeup on the top, but nothing too drastic. What's incredible right now, though, is that 5 of the top 6 teams are in the Big 8. That will be a fun playoff battle...

Back to conference games! Amazing that the playoffs is only 4 weeks away.

Don't get it, too.

Of course, any teams play CT to a higher rank team might change the game results.
Any low salary teams who want to buy one or two 100+K players will also change some game results immediately.

In addition, as my best knowledge, a good player who can dominate in DIII might cost $600K-1M. Assuming team managers save $100K per week. You still need to wait for 3 seasons to get all the starters ready, regardless the salary increased by those trainees. And don't forget your other players are getting old and their value are also decreasing. So, does saving money really help so significantly as people expected?

I guess we should deeply appreciate those underrated teams to allow the current top teams win.

The key when I have saved well has been to balance the young and old. Certainly, one can overspend both on signing fees and salaries at any time. Right now my non-training positions are guys who are really just meant to keep me competitive against a certain level of competition. They're good enough to hang in III, but they're relatively cheap and tend to play above their salary level. They need to be young enough that the trainees will have time to get good while they're still playing at a decent level. Once the trainees are legit starters, then it's time to buy one or two dominant players in other positions. The whole key is getting to where you produce a couple league dominant guys in house. Otherwise, it's just too expensive to sustain.

hmmmm.... that sounds a good point.

May I ask you one more question?
As a former NBBA manager who started playing BB in season 1, why you stay in DivIII and DivIV for more than ten continuous seasons? If you were training trainees, I assume they are all 28-9 yo now........(and should save $30M+ that is enough for an strong army to crash all DivII teams).

It is my opinion that it is better to get promoted to DivII (500K bonus for the promotion), and then tank there (300K/wk) for a season and relegate back to DivIII if you are willing to. You will earn more than what you tank here for three seasons.
