how did i lose this....
I played match of the season!

(66111356)

Playing Princeton with that poor flow is a recipe for disaster - 17 turnovers is way too many to expect to have good winning chances. Hitting your threes and you making free throws while your opponent missed a lot of them kept it close, but you lost so many possessions between your turnovers and your opponent winning the offensive boards that it's pretty fortunate you didn't lose by a good bit more.

It's not my game. The home team lost a game by 81-80. (66188531)

The funny thing is the final 22 seconds. When both teams had more than 4 team fouls, no foul was committed, why? I guess the team behind should commit the foul and hope the opponent missed the FT, and then get the ball to score 2 or 3 points to win the game.

You could fast forward to the final 25 seconds: http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/66188531/reportmatch.as...

Well, i cant explain why, but it happens even in real basketball.. Just look some games of Raptors and you will see some similar coaching decisions..

The problem here is the fact that the action ends by a steal. Sometimes in BB, when it's happening, the action goes over the 24 seconds and even longer. Nothing else will happen.

Right the get go here I knew that's what was happening, since indeed, normally, the home team would have made a foul to get the possession back after the FTs.

Yeah. I kind of think that the way the possessions are calculated it may know that the possession is ending with a steal but the amount of time taken up to generate it may still be random or just disregarded in the decision about whether to foul. At least in this scenario it wasn't one of those 40 second possessions where the shot clock is just sitting there on 0 until the steal finally shows up.

Ok, we did not loose, not even close but I think this is the best topic to analyze this one: (27577). And there's only one thing that is really weird for me...check out Lubnan OR's!! Weird!

Welcome to the wild and wonderful world of full court pressure! If you're facing a team that's simply abysmal all around, it's quite possible to come up with some massive PD, but you'll lose a lot of defense and rebounding. Putting in to perspective, both teams got offensive boards on roughly 40% of their misses despite the massive disparity in rebounding rating.

They used also FCP so it can't be the reason? I think I'm done with that defense mode

Your chosen defensive strategy affects how your defensive rebounding works, which is why both teams running FCP saw their opponent end up with 40% offensive boards. Of course, that's a little misleading - Suomi had exactly the same number of offensive boards as Lubnan had defensive boards, with the other missed shots probably in the "fumbled out of bounds"/airball/scramble category. Lubnan had 31 boards while Suomi had 42 defensive boards, which is a slightly less effective performance offensively, just that because they took and missed so many shots, the raw number of offensive boards is higher.

But the moral of the story is, if you want to rebound your opponent's missed shots at a reasonable rate, full court press is definitely not for you.

Thanks for your advice! We would never use this tactic in "real" game anyway...

Any time. Yeah, it's pretty much a tactic for use when you want to run up the score against a sorely overmatched team, or when you want to lose by a lot against a much better team.
