Yeah, I mean I wanted to help, but I was never going to waste money on your broke ass, or do anything that would put me at risk of being fined, etc.

I think the managers that did buy the players probably selected A-Dubs because they were going to buy a player and since A-Dub's fit the ticket more or less they were willing to choose those over another.

I don't even think this changes a whole lot with regards to us in league play.

A-Dub hasn't broken any rules.

Sorry dude, but this is not the case.

Rules Broken:

1. Listed players for more than fair Market Value

Maybe. But people list players for $10 mill all the time and nobody cares.

2. Solicited Sales from Friends

The only thing he did was post an ad on the offsite stating that he was fighting off bankruptcy and was putting players up in order to get back in the game. In that add he stated that players had offered to loan him money, but not that he had agreed or accepted. It is perfectly fine to post an add, and explain why you are selling your players on the offsite.

3. Promised to buy players back from other teams "to repay loans" after he enters his rebuild. This constitutes shifting BB money from one account to another.

I don't see where he did this. Are you inferring he did this in private with players?

4. Didn't self-report after he received bids clearly higher than the players fair market value.

This is where I might agree with you. They did sell for a fair amount of money, but like I said before the GM's will step in if they feel the need and in the meantime it is against the rules to accuse people of cheating on the forums.

But what do I know? I was just a GM for 5 years.

And it is exactly because I know we have good staff like you working on the game that I trust the system and trust that the GM's will lower the amount of money A-Dub receives if they feel it needs to be done.

I don't think talking about it more in a public setting is going to do anyone any good.

Here is my problem it:

I have applauded A-Dub for his success, and the way he built, and has run his team. I have been cheering him in the B3....I have sent him a handful of BB-Mails congratulating him and complimenting his success. I have always laughed when some guys are critical for how others run their team, especially in instances where a team has a significantly higher payroll than everyone else. But there is nothing wrong or illegal about it...I have always teased and called this tactic Bullying, but it's fair and okay to do it.

However, when you go the Bully route and run with a sizeable payroll advantage over everyone else, and run a significantly negative weekly income/loss you face risks with that strategy.

In late June he sold a player for a crazy amount of money, and then spent all that money, and more to buy a new stud to make his team even more unstoppable. He did this without any foresight of the schedule and the fact that he a time coming where he would have back to back Financial updates without a home game. He had the money on hand to protect his team, but choose the risky strategy and spent it going further in the hole. So when it all comes to a head, how is rewarded? Guys bail him out. So he gets to bully everyone, play a risky strategy, and then faces no consequences.

Who pays the price?

Well, if he had to sell a core player this week, it might have opened the door for Eugene to pull an upset in the Cup on Thursday. If he was able to wait a week, it might have opened the door for High Point Heroes to pull an upset in the Cup Championship. That week or the week after, and it would have opened the door for Eugene to pull the upset in the Conference Finals or for High Point Heroes or Arizona to pull the upset in the League Finals.

Instead, despite his mistake, and because of the bailout...none of those teams stands a chance, and A-Dub's B3 dream stays alive, and he gets two more Gold trophies.

This affected more than just A-Dubs B3 run. His mistake opened the door to give others hope they could play for more than a Silver...but that hope and the open door was shut as quickly as it was opened.

The charmed life of A-Dub continues!

Seriously? He didn't just offer to repay, he actually offered to re-acquire those specific players! So now he's offering to buy those very players back when they will be another year older, AND, have more ratings drops, lowering their value even more...so then he will be in violation of paying over fair market value as well.

His quote on the offsite forum is as follows before he edited it about 90 minutes ago:

"with next season being a rebuilding seasons i'd obviously have money to re-aquire these players and repay such loans"

Come on man. He said it explicitly in his post. I have zoomed in on this section since you have seemed to miss it:

I read that as "managers have contacted me, and I'd have the power to do this, but I'm posting this ad here to avoid that"

Now that I read it again I see your point. But he hasn't reacquired those players, so like I've said a bunch of times, best that we let the GM's deal with it.

But I'm out, this isn't my fight so I'll let the right people settle it.

Those specific players hold sentimental value to me. I am wanting to re-acquire them. Regarding the strength of my team (had I sold Isom), I've played with six players before and believe my team is strong enough to do it again. I would have played two players 48mins as I did when Simmons was injured and would still be a formidable opponent worthy the title.

Goodnight Folks, this is a bb-mail i received from someone... (to the person, no hard feelings at all sir, i believe we had our understanding and I removed your name)

Someone pm'd me, i won't say whom but this is basically my response above
Also, may I just add, those players I bought already had bids on them prior to mine, he was already set to bring in a large amount of cash.
Don't question A-Dub's integrity, I can assure you he did not ask myself to buy any of his players. I'm sure the GMs can see that there were no BB-mails, plus i havent been on the mibbit chat these past couple games (and i've only seen adub there once or twice before anyway). I'm sure frequent live game watchers can vouch for this.

I see players selling for ridiculous prices everyday anyway.

Anyway, goodnight all, take it easy on A-Dub, he hasn't done anything wrong. He couldn't force anyone to actually bid on his players and I don't think he's got much responsibility.

I guess that's up to the GMs to judge though

Great job buddy! You get your junior G man vagina detective merit badge.

I would love to hear your thoughts on Hilary's email and the beef between Kim K and Taylor Swift.
