I dunno how I didnt see this before, but the team that bought the player is run by the same manager, same name and everything and they have 0 players, just a fake account to move money around, caught this bastard, reported him...

Yeah, i've seen at least two and reported both. It's really silly. You might get away with it for fractional amounts every now and again, but the 300k transfers Zzz. Glad they get removed regularly enough, it'd be depressing to spend 3 seasons getting to where they can w/ a big arena in roughly 1.

So because i was a bit of a jerk with my list of things to help tough win, heres my analysis of why i wouldn't do this at all.

1) Looking at his conference right now, he only really has one team that is front of him that has a lot of higher salary players (doesn't necessarily mean they are as good as their salaried worth, but i'll pretend that all of these guys are close to worth their salaries). That guy has a huge stadium, as is essentially on his way to being D.III again next season unless something unforseen happens as he can afford most if not all of the salary he is taking on. The second team in his conference has one really good center presumably, a good secondary center that players PF, two SG's (one that cant handle the ball to save his life that plays SG and the other that presumably has better handling that players the standard PG position). However, this guy has less arena, so he might not maintain that roster for too long even though most are young enough to carry him into D.III within two seasons. The next team in line has the arena to support a payroll, but has roughly 11 guys that are all above 5.5k salary. I think tough could easily slip into the 4th best team if he improved his depth to match this guy. No requirements at all to buy a lot of 40k guys within the next season or two. It will allow him to work on some of these younger guys and win enough to not ever play a relegation game to stay in the conference.

2) Looking more directly at tough, we can see a few guys that are good in terms of salary versus age as far as development goes, but we can see that their skills aren't all good. I'll make my point on a few players:

A - Vasko, the young PF. While he is overmatched in a lot of ways with some of the bigs in his conference and in his league in general (which tough himself wisely noted at a few different points), i can't imagine his handling or passing are that good. I don't see passing or handling needing to be over 4 to be at the D.IV winning level, and my guess is that Vasko is a true 1 at passing and maybe a 3 at best in handling. I'd spend the better part of a season trying to correct that if i were seriously training him.

B - Sol, the young center. Same sort of problems. I think tough was more interested in grabbing some other secondaries, and it hurts his teams ability to maintain possession.

In fact, just looking at team tough, it's not that great across the board. 184/77 is the TO/Steal ratio, 152/184 for the Assist/TO ratio. Not to toot my own horn in a weaker division, but my ratios are 111/80 in the TO/Steal ratio, and it's a 182/111 Assist/TO ratio. I did a quick search of the market for centers and forwards under 20 with inept handling and passing, and found about 5 within the next 12 hours, 3 of which are probably going to fall within 30-40k to get on the team, 1-2 that really fit the C or PF mold. He might not have the money right this second, but he should be capable of generating enough cash-flow with that the fans filling in roughly 7500 seats to grab a few more of the 5-8k guys that many of the 2nd or 3rd best teams in his conference and in his league overall. which was the point i think i made in an earlier post.

need a second post to cover the remaining points.

Sounds like u got most of it covered, but tough doesnt have a competitive team now, he sold everyone and is rebuilding, so it depends on how long itll take him to build a competitive team... As far as trainees go, I was sad to see him sell the 2 bigs, they seemed to be improving quickly and I guess would be great players soon...

Now he needs to rebuild while staying competitive on his D4, but I think he'll be fine as far as relegation goes...

Ya, its messed up to work so hard on a team and end up getting screwed by someone whos cheating, at least this guy is not doing too well in my league, i beat him already, but I still dont like the fact that he has 2 accounts... whatever, I hope they take care of it, even if they dont, he wont make it too far, his arena is small, he cant afford expensive players...

3) Looking at veterans and looking at ball possession.

Xim Carbo - He's played 4 games against league opponents. His rating in those four games is a 4.0. the team is roughly a -60 (negative double digits per game average) when he's on the floor. Why is this guy seeing the floor outside of making sure your starter doesn't lose game shape to too many minutes? he's 30, with a 1.3k salary. a D5 would be hard pressed to keep a salary like this around, let alone a DIV team that has aspirations of hanging on.

Bazyli - Again, what is this guy doing for you right now that makes it worth keeping him on the floor much at all during a game? at point guard he's averaging close to 1:1 Assists:Turnover. He's not really doing the job that a Pg should be doing, not to mention he's not really a strong PG candidate. Even Ashley, your standard PG that i bagged on in posts prior, is doing better in his ratio of Assists:Turnover.

The teams meanwhile that tough is trying to catch are doing a lot better. Lets look at the 3rd ranked team in his conference rather than someone promotion bound. Almdudlers is 3rd, and his team ratio is nearly 2:1 on the assist front. They make more plays as a team that they mess up. He doesn't do take the ball away as much, but he can afford to do make fewer steals if he makes more plays. the same is pretty standard amongst other teams that reside in 4th and 5th place. Maybe not a lot of turnover potential, but they have a lot better ball control.

Whether or not tough gets the next 40k player on his team at some point might determine his promotion potential. But i think that supporting cast that can play defense and generate potential offense is probably going to benefit him more than that one player.

He's chancing it by staying as capable as a 6th or 7th best team in his side of the equation. And he isn't selling off and rebuilding. He bought Ulferd Stillfried, a slightly over the hill veteran but still a good player, most recently. If he's going to work on some guys and do a bit of a rebuild, thats all well and fine, but it doesn't mean he has to chance relegation. He could use Stillfried, he can use his SG, and get maybe 4-5 players that are better than his depth and finish 5th no problem.

well this isn't the worst cheater i've seen, but he did make ~300k out of this without factoring in severance and other things.
