You are ridiculous. Choose your words. You sound angry. :)
I could have gone with "naive" or something worse, I didn't feel naive conveyed my meaning, so I chose "ridiculous" :) It wasn't a personal affront to anyone, it was an opinion on a specific part of the discussion. Don't take it too seriously, I can assure you there's no ill intent or anger.
Yes. You won't have problems that way. And like last season neither will other users. As I said, draft was lagging because some people didn't set the list in time whatever the reason (being senile or deadline bug). :)
Well, as I specified, if the guy's statement about his timing in relation to the displayed deadline is true, then he did stick to the correct time frame. Again, if his claims are true, he got shafted because of a bug. That would definitely be the game's fault, not his. Yes, he
could have prevented it, but it shouldn't be there in the first place.
Exactly. Deadlines are flexible. As I said, I think Latvia had a display bug because everywhere else the deadline was 25.11. if I'm not wrong.
Well, they really shouldn't be, unless explicitly specified. If Latvia did have a display bug, then it's definitely not the guy's fault.
Not really randomly. Deadlines are around specific dates/hours etc. It's just that they can move before or after the time specified. I think you too agree on this.
Sorry, I don't. As I said, unless explicitly specified as such, a deadline should be relatively accurate, otherwise it loses its meaning. My "year 3000/randomly" example was, of course, incredibly exaggerated, but it's just meant to demonstrate a point about the importance of the semantics in this case. I just don't think the word "before" should be interpreted like that under these specific circumstances and I just stretched the offset in timing to make it clearer why.
As for the "get real" part, again, don't pay much attention to it, there is no implied aggression ;)
