I can see how it'd be frustrating being in a micronation where you play bots all the time. Hell, I only had one bot season, and it was nice to emerge into a Div IV where there were actual humans. I felt like I had been stationed on a remote moon base for a while.
Well... wolph's rarely played in a "bots-all-the-time" situation, and the one (?) season he did, he has admitted that it helped set him up cash-wise to make it in the JBBL (where wolph currently plays).
The solution to this has been made quite a few times before, as far as micronations go - and it's rather simple... but it's never been implemented.
The main problem with micronations is that there is a high turnover rate of new players. Because they come, and are immediately thrown into a division where they have to compete against strong teams immediately. There's no learning curve, they just start in a div II, and either beat up on the bots or get beat up on.
Where wolph, YC & are live - Japan - that's what happens. New guy comes... gets beat up on... new guy leaves.
Japan has the JBBL (div I), and a sporadically populated div II. Most new guys come into div I.1, which tends to be a meat-grinder.
Now... if new guys started in div III - where they could beat up on bots... that might help. No-one minds winning, and when they first start - it doesn't matter that it's bots. You can build a team, and hopefully compete.
Simple. Oh well.
