Well Atgrbnagiai is on target having won his 1st 5 games and he has a million dollar plus roster.

The negative is that his point difference is only +124 and he has 3 tough games to wound up the round robin series.

He plays host against the 75th ranked Bebruikai which he should win.

He is lucky to have HCA against the 26th ranked IMERETI and his final game is away to the 68th ranked Sporting Olimpia

If he doesnt have any injuries and builds his enthusiam for his B3 games then I believe he is likely to win through.

7 wins and a reasonable points difference is historically enough to make the knockout round of 32 stage.

What are your thoughts?

How focused is he on B3 and how capable as a manager is he?

About his oppontents - my thoughts excactly.

And I even think, he's fully able to reach the 8/0 score:).

When i was speaking to him, he was thinking about geting to the knockout round, but he wasn't too confident about himself being in top4.

It might look that he's a bad manager, when you look at his LBBL or Lithuanias Cup standings, but he had a 370k Lithuanias NT forward, so, i believe he coulnd't do a lot more.
But as a manager, he's capable of winning B3. It only depends, if he'll open his treasure chest (in which nobody knows how much gold coins does he have) or not:).

The only thing that bothers me, is his gramps - they might have too many skill drops by the end of the season to conquer the B3.

Interesting analysis and I agree it is possible that he could win all 8 round robin games despite his really tough draw.

His chances would have been a lot worse if he didnt have HCA in his game against IMERETI

Its my first time in B3 and it is very evident to me that the luck of the draw plays a huge part in who makes the final 32.

You are right about the concern of the age of his players as 6 of his best 8 players are 33 or older and whilst the experience of these players would be quite valuable in B3, there is definitely the risk of skills drops

Another concern I have for his team is that he has 2 players getting paid over 200K a week who he obviously relies on very much and would deeply miss if they got injured or even fouled out.

Correct me if Im wrong but I believe that once the final 32 teams begin to become more evident that intent will begin to play a huge role.

Who are the Managers who are prepared to bank enthusiam for B3 games and who are the Managers who will roll the dice and supplement their rosters with a couple of beasts?

Interesting times ahead

Are there any other teams who you reckon could be strong contenders in the knock out stages?

Haven't checked a lot of those, who are in the 32 now, but I believe, Koops has the most convicing roster. Is he going for the B3 champion title?:)

At the beginning of the season I mentioned one team: Labude and his ESV Laim are back and he is eager to win some titles. His big advantage is that he already won once the BBB (and lost the second final because of a stupid mistake...). So he knows how to play and he has a more frightening roster than the salary indicates...

Koops like myself has an easy round robin draw and unless he sells down, will finish top 3 at the end of the round robin.

Koops is not afraid to sell up and or buy up and is quite capable of doing damage in this tournament.

He was going for his 3rd cup in a row in Australia but got knocked out this season when a Div III team crunch timed him.

He says that he is now focusing on beating me for this seasons ABBL championship and I actually have a big game against him this Saturday night which just might decide Home Court Advantage come finals time.

In Australia the common joke is that he wins things with use of his GM button

Well he has won 6 out of 6 in the round robin but has 2 really tough games to come being at home against the 9th ranked Brigada Diverse and away to the 6th ranked Blackwolves.

His roster currently looks very top heavy with one 300K player and 4 others over 100K and then only 2 players between 20 and 100K.

He certainly has an impressive trophy wall and given this and his past success in B3, there is no doubt in my mind that assuming he has the financial resources he will be trying to win this seasons tournament.

I expect him to beat Brigada Diverse but Im not sure that he will beat Blackwolves unless he makes an acquisition.

Likely that he would still sneak into the final 32 with only 7 wins although it could come down to points difference.

Definitely a team I wouldnt like to play in the final 32 as I believe he wants to win it and having won it previously he knows that he can win it

They tried that in France, I proved to them it's a myth.

Apart from losing games, how else can you prove that the GM button is a myth?

Some people believe that past GMs retain the GM button for perpetuity whilst others believe that that past GMs have residual GM button powers.

6 wins out of 6 in the round robin games and currently placed 8th overall, these stats only enhance these theories
