What offensive tactic did you play with it.?

I think the big's need some od as well. I think stopping the inside passing and scoring. leads to mid range shot in pockets. in the zone. Only 2 players can cover the pockets and that's pg/sg.

I think the center need everything in a defensive way.. I think that is the key. I think its a advanced level tactic.. you can just play it with jon doe and jim cook and think just because they are pumped with Id/sb it going to work. Every body need defensive stats.

2-3 starts at the top while 3-2 start at the bottom. This is why 3-2zones is having success.

I hope you understood what i just said.

I had three bigs with OD 12-9-9 SF-PF-C. ID was 17 at all of them and SB was 17-18. OD on my guards was 18 and 19. With 16 and 15 PA. Tried it with different offenses. Fast medium and slow.

Sweet day in the morning! Now I see why it is so hard to talk with some people about how BB works for mid-level teams. It's not their fault, they're playing with players from a different planet from those on a mid-level team. The skills and the money they command in salaries or on the transfer market ... a completely different planet altogether.

You still need some people to offer help. If the people with no knowledge of the game, the people who just started and those who succeeded can't propose their help, there will be a shortage of help.

Yes, that is part of my point. I try to talk with administrators* of this site about some of the ways that the game is problematic for mid-level teams, but all they know is top level teams -- a different planet -- so sometimes good suggestions fall on deaf ears.

(*administrators ... I don't know how you are organized and it doesn't matter to the point I'm making.)

this is great information Manon,

If it ok to ask what was the lowest amount point s 2~3zone allowed in fast to slow offenses.?

I would certaintly assume the slow pace games were lowly scored, if not tht woul be good thing to see.... Aso if its ok can you link the close match of 2-3 zone. I wnt to see if the games style match from what i have seen.

Thanks Manon

I agree with that.

I think 2-3 is a good way to lose for right now. But I have seen some Nt manager using it and win with great results.. . I took the 3-2 way from Nt and it works when I minored the skills,. I think the same will said will be said for 2-3 zone after some time or get BB- MM to very minor tweak it.

If this way does not work, I hope some recommends a very minor tweak to it.

Thank you for the clear up

Since its a zone its not actually that good at preventing open looks anywhere on the floor.

3-2 is very good at shutting down outside shots and drives from the perimeter drives. Just as an FYI, unless the zone is a coaches' base defense, the zone is mostly used to take away a team's strength. There are things that you can do to exploit weak players like trap them or play off them, but its not really the main concern.
