Playoff prediction time! I am only going to tackle them one round at a time.

Starting with the Big 8
1. Mighty Moose Rockets vs. 4. Lake Charles Creoles
The home team won in both matchups this season. MMR has been inconsistent at times this season because of training, but I have to assume here they put their best team forward and their defense will be too much for LCC's outside focused offense to score against.

Winner: Mighty Moose Rockets

2. Dark Matter vs 3. Slashing Dragons
The home team won in both matchups here too. The big storyline is the injury to James Field, the starting PG for Dark Matter. As tempting as it is to pick my team for the upset because of the injury, I think on the road my defense will not be able to slow down Dark Matter's offense.

Winner: Dark Matter

Maybe…just maybe if I get my starting PG back for the playoffs I can make our game close Tuesday night. But Slashing Dragons has played every game really tough and usually with a “take it easy” effort level. So…as much as I would love to agree with you, with or without my PG, I think you’re team is definitely favored to win. But thanks for the encouragement! LOL!

Now the Great 8

1. Monkeykid Maniacs vs 4. River Monsters

Outside of a week 1 loss and an accidental walkover, the Maniacs are undefeated. Couple that with the fact that Monkeykid just won this exact matchup on the road with less effort and River Monsters has a tough challenge ahead. Do they have any tricks up their sleeve to crack the Maniacs vaunted 3-2?

Winner: Monkeykid Maniacs

2. Drunken Sconnies vs 3. Rashmonsters

Before the season I though that Rashmonsters aging roster was a sign that it was going to be a rebuilding season, but instead the team stayed together to be one of the better teams in the league. However, superb team ratings has not translated to wins as their team went 0-3 against the other playoff teams down the stretch. The Sconnies also seem to match up well against them.

Winner: Drunken Sconnies

Relegation

5. Slabs vs 7. The Revolutionaries

The Revolutionaries coasted through the season content with making bank.

Winner: Slabs in 2

6. New York Newts vs 6. Harrisburg Trafficers

Ever since the mid season bankruptcy, Harrisburg has been a non entity unfortunately and hasn't logged on at all in February.

Winner: New York Newts in 2

5. Javamen II vs 7. Coos Bay Cougars

The only relegation series of substance looks to be a good one. Coos Bay won the regular season matchup, but Javamen has HCA. The bigs are the strength for both teams and I think Coos Bay's defense could be the tipping point. This one might come down to the little things, including who gets the better GS update and who can make best use of Game Day Prep.

Winner: Coos Bay Cougars in 3

I'm kind of in a similar spot. The Newts dominated D4 with an undefeated season last time around, but clearly need to up our talent level to compete in this league. Spent a decent amount this year to add some young talent, maybe it will pay off but they need some training.
