I followed several guys who make it and there is a general consensus: it is pretty inaccurate.

Thank you, that helped.

And btw, so far I've only scouted a 5-ball player and I got a 5-ball star rating, so 100% accuracy for me. :)

But no really, even factoring the baseline inaccuracy I still think Group Demonstration is hardly worth it, unless you know you will have a very low pick and you want to spot some decent, mid-level players.
In my draft list I have 19 1 or 2-ball players, I think I'd rather spend those 10 points on 10 players with a base of 4 or 5 balls.

Still curious to hear other peoples' opinion, of course.

Well I found 2 players with 5 star rating and about 5 players with 4 star rating. So I think it's definitely worth the 10 points, at least it was in my case.

When I did group demonstration 6 of my scrubs turned out to be 5 ballers. 4 of them turned out to be 18 so I think the demonstration was the best thing I did.

Eight of my guys from the group demonstration ended up with 5-ball star ratings, four of whom are 18 years old. On the other hand, the two 5-ball baseline guys I scouted both ended up being 4-ball star rated.

I must have a really crappy scout...

I found 9 five ball players and two 4 ball players out of the worst 19.

Maybe my league had a lucky group of players.

But still I don't trust my scout :0. So now I have to have each of those guys in for practice and spend 40K for the next 4 weeks.

Scouting the best players from the stat line seemed to indicate the scout does better when he actually sees them play !

Tested on one of the 5 star unscouted players...he ended up being 3 star when watched.

Only will have 16 scouting points. Hopefully I will get lucky with those and find some 5/5'ers. Got 8 chances on 7 5 star+1 4 star. Thinking my odds are against me. Thinking I may find some 4/5 and 3/5 though considering the atrocious stat lines of the players.

Found 2 5/3's 18 year old's thus far. Thinking if I get some decent picks, that I will train around them for next year. Even though I am training "bigs" this year...I suppose the tax will affect me at some point. But right now its not trade killer. I am also at a level where all my players are cheap, so there is little incentive to keep training short or big.

Roll the dice in my case and find some 5/5'ers hopefully.

I still think the drafts all need to be repopulated, even if it means postponing the new draft system until next season. I knew the points displayed for me were wrong, so I patiently waited until it seemed like the draft was working right. I cant even believe the draft was not taken offline while people were able to spend points they didn't have.

And now the solution is that all those players who spent more than they should have(some of whom had to know) get another chance to try out the new scouting system the season it is released, when a redo is most beneficial.

It seems to me like this is the easy fix here, with no thought put into fairness. This solution gives a small(i think) number of users a big advantage, while the only people who would be at a disadvantage after a reset would be the people who haven't done a test run on the new system.

The scout button was actually broken for many players when the draft was released. As Edju already pointed out it's such a small part of the managers that actually used more than they would have used, that the effort of creating whole new draft lists just isn't worth it.

We didn't even investigate the ranking of these managers that used the 'bonus' points. If many of them need to pick last, most of them won't even manage to get a good effect out of these bonus points, since they simply have to wait untill the other 10 teams picked a talent before they do.

Another thing is that the talents didn't get better or worse. The quality of the draft pools stay the same. So in the end it's a huge effort to create all draft pools over again, which has nothing to do with the new system, while the negative effect of not creating those draft pools is that small that it just isn't worth it.

We're sorry for the ones that feel they have a disadvantage now, but unfortunately sometimes the best solution doesn't help everyone.

I'd asked this before but I don't think it was answered. How exactly will bot teams pick and how will inactive teams select? If they both will just follow the order given in the baseline rankings that makes it easy for managers who have a lot of inactive teams picking ahead of them to know exactly which players to avoid scouting.
