I often enjoy discussing minutiae and all the fun that entails, but this is pointless. Substitution patterns should be redone completely, in an ideal world. The manual's text could be cleaned up. Sometimes you just don't get 48 minutes and that is currently working as intended. The white zone is for loading and unloading only. Offer void where prohibited by law.

My final thought is, I felt better about this issue when a trainee who got <48 stilll popped. If the training penalty for being just short of 48 isn't too great, then it's not that big a deal. We all should know by now that 48 minute games are a gamble, "bug" or no bug.

It's pretty small, I believe you lose about 1% training for every 30 seconds of missed playing time (until 40 minutes, if you play less you lose more and more training).

I was thinking that maybe for the sake of finding out how often this actually happens we could start a survey and see under what circumstances this happens and to what degree.
I have a lot of games with my main team and lot of them also in my Utopia team that i could look into and see how often it has happened for me.
Anyone else interested in starting a thread like this?

That's not a bad idea.
All in all, I think it will turn out to be something that happens less than 5% of the time, which impacts training by less than 5%, which is not very much of an overall impact.

You will have to get on board people with low stamina trainees (I now tend to ignore trainees like that). The effect is surely clearer at a young age and this kind of trainee usually do not finish a game.

Based on my personal experience, it seems that the table from Joey Ka you linked is a bit optimistic, but I know that the numbers from the US offsite are accurate, but not 100% accurate as there is statistical noise from crosstraining and the impact of the elastic effect.

I'd be up to contribute to such a thread, but keep in mind the 46 minute game I linked above was the first I had in 2 seasons. I usually do get 48x3 trainees, but injuries and fouling out can always happen I suppose.

I need to remember to participate with my Utopia team, then. Three of my trainees are down to atrocious now, so I could definitely be the "worst case scenario" guy. Shame that so many of them also seem to be aggressive as well, so they have multiple avenues to disappoint me (if they were quality enough trainees to be worthy of my disappointment, at least). ;)
