There's another issue that occurs to me with the new method of promoting.

Imagine I'm the regular season winner. I'm already guaranteed to promote. I don't need to win the final. Now imagine my opponent isn't the second best team in the regular season. I can now decide who gets to promote. If I win the final, the second best team in the regular season promotes. If I lose the final the winner of the final promotes and so do I.

What if one of those is my friend and one isn't? I can be spiteful and make sure the person I don't like stays in D2. That's just awful. It goes against the spirit of gaming and the spirit of proper competition.

This has happened in BB from the beginning. Every time there is a bot in an upper division, some teams knew that they had a sure promotion.
About the friend issue, it's already happening. Not that it will change a lot.

As I said to Perpete, you're not comparing similar situations. One comes within the bounds of competitive spirit and one is artifically manufactured by the BBs.

I can clearly see that what is happening here is the door is being closed to discussion, as always The sheer contempt for discussion shown by BBs EGM, and GMs beggars belief.

For my own sake, I'm out of BB Global until Wednesday.

Not every complaints is wrong, some arguments are good, but I have just no personal interest to keep answering and deal with the whole thing.

You didn't last long. Pitiful.

The fact that we don't agree with you in some points doesn't mean that the door is closed to discuss it.

The fact is we're not discussing the same thing, and you're only responding to one of my concerns about one of the changes.

And we can't have a discussion when you're saying I'm wrong and then explaining why I'm wrong by giving examples that have nothing to do with what I said.

It is so frustrating, not just for me, trying to discuss things with BBs, and EGMs, because we always end up with the same thing. You all saying you're right, that any reasoned argument will be dismissed with barely a thought, and by bickering over things that have nothing to do with the original argument.

You are saying that you have a concern about people not winning POs on purpose and about people helping friends.
And I'm telling you that both things are happening now. So I think I'm answering what you are asking.
You can argue that the number of cases could be higher with the new system and Perpete has told you that it's worse for a team promoting if he is not the winner of the POs and I guess it's something related with your concerns as well.

You want to discuss things but you don't like that we disagree with you?
In Spain forum, for example, most users who gave their opinion like the promotion change.

I'm not going to repeat this again, so for the last time. The situations both you and Perpete mentioned are not the same as the artificial one you're introducing, therefore you can't say what is going to happen is already happening. Its not the same, and so you're not answering.

And again for the last time, this isn't the only thing I've said about promotion and I haven't only spoken about promotion. Yet nothing else has been mentioned, and so those concerns, (eloquently expressed, I might add) have been ignored.

You want to discuss things but you don't like that we disagree with you?

Very insulting. What basis do you have for saying that?

what about 7th and 8th places being demoted, 6th places facing each other and 5th places keeping cool? this way you'll have 5 teams demoted instead of 4, it increases mobility but not as radically as having 6 teams demoted.

I habe no issue wirh the mobility, but so much promotion money for everyone is troubling.

maybe non-champion teams who get the possibility of being promoted should receive less money (they don't get the attendance boost anyway). those teams should also be able to choose not being promoted.
