Nope, John Satchwell should have been on the list. I just slotted him in now; he's one of the best PG types that is currently 20 years old.

I really like how these "rankings" have been coming out for the last two seasons. It's another great way for those with younger trainees to stay engaged in the game. Far and away, my favourite part of this game is the player development - I look forward to following various players progress, or, fallback, season to season.

It would be very cool if there were a "Top 10" at each position, for all of Canada. Adjusted year to year, with perhaps an addendum for younger players who may potentially break into the top 10 in later seasons. This would probably take quite a bit of work to start, but maintenance would be relatively easy. I do, however, realize that many managers would not want to give up the tactical advantage of having their players' skills unknown.

A NT general "depth chart" would be cool to have posted on the forums. Lists could be created without revealing the skills of anyone. Rip has provided various versions of this in his writeups over the seasons (most recently in the NT thread), but perhaps things could be highlighted more (maybe a NT depth chart sticky?). I'm not sure whether it would be better to have a main post that is edited/updated over the seasons, or have a series of "training camp" type posts (a new one for each season). In any case, this kind of thing is something that I would enjoy seeing from the next NT manager.

Am setting a scrimmage up for John where we go up against Chuck Rainey and his team to test where John is at in the world, should be quite interesting.

I was jus wondering how far off my guard Winston Hightower is to those mentioned guards.

Sign up for the off site forum and you will have access to builds of NT and U21 players. Once seeing them you can gauge where your guys are at.

Hightower is comparable in overall skill level to the guards that were listed as "honourable mentions" (he got left out mostly due to where I decided to make an arbitrary cutoff, but he could definately be listed there). I see Hightower as a bit of a sleeper at the moment, but depending on how training goes, he could definately pass some guys, and maybe even climb all the way up into that top 10 for next season.

Scrimmage against Chuck Rainey is set for this week, tune in for a great match and maybe a preview of future U21 PG matchups*.
