You are used to Japanese efficiency. If something will be ready in two days it will be ready in two days. Instead you have hired a Southern European work crew who have taken a few days off for a festival, had some safety concerns so closed the site down for days, were in a dispute about overtime payments and so were on a go slow and are now demanding a "bonus" if they actually make the next two more days deadline.

Yes indeed, it appears you're correct. Construction was with a Japanese firm, who after over-extending themselves sub-contracted to a S.E.-based company. We've had more than a few issues, but post a meeting where completely outrageous demands were... well... met, hopefully construction will be finished by tomorrow, in time for the season's home opener on Saturday.

Seems to me that BB has an exclusive contract with South European firms. Construction is never finished on time, never... at least it never happened to me. Oh well, it's not such a big deal after all.
