He probably means that higher stamina will cause more weekly minutes played, thus reducing the game shape or something along that line (my wind guess).

I suppose that relationship could possibly hold, if only stamina was different and everything being the same (opponents, enthusiasm and all the other factors), but since it's not, the relationship is not that significant. Like you said, one'll just have to adjust tactics.

I think the thought process is that game shape correlates with, stamina level and play time for instance i got a 32 yrs old SG with stamina 8,every time i play him 65-75 min he struggles GS hes varying between high end of respectable and lower-mid strong, while i play him above 75 min 80+ hes a proficient,i judge of whether is lower or higher end of form by DMI,seem like the maintaining of gameshape s not black and white after all,and the golden rule seems not to apply on all stamina levels.

"I'm assuming stamina affects it indirectly, like other posters say, in terms of minute distribution."

that is what I tried to tell, but I was in a rush and formulated it completely wrong. So if maintain 60 minutes per week - IMO 5-7 Stamina is best to increase GS.

i had read on another post recently that a manager with a player with higher stamina (i guess 8+) struggled to keep their GS at strong or proficient.

I havent noticed anything personally, but that doesnt mean there isnt something to it.

The logical thing (though what is logical isnt always what is in the game engine!) would be if maintaining game shape and stamina are linked in some way, for example to illustrate my point:

with stamina 1 a player could play 4 quarters a week to improve ad maintain top GS,
stamina 4: 5 quarters a week,
stamina 7: 6 quarters a week (which ties to 72 minutes, what we think is upper acceptable limit for all players)
and stamina 10: 7 quarters a week.

the interesting thing about this would then be that the value of stamina is just about how well a player plays during the game/when they need to take a breather but also about how many minutes you can get out of them in a week and still keep them in good shape
