Well.. the game manual is pretty ambiguous...

A better IS will make more two point baskets?

It seems like IS is helping for dunks of any kind and post moves... But not that much for driving lay-ups.
But again, since guards are quite all low on ID, it's difficult to be sure.

I would imagine they both come in to play depending on what the other players defense is. From what I have seen if the player has low inside defense then the driving seems to be enough to make the basket. If the players inside defense is good, then it falls to the ability to make the shot.
I had a PG last year, Average JS Strong Range, Wonderous Driving & Atrocious Inside shot. He made 48% of his shots play Look Inside.

Right is not a popularity contest!

Ouch.. How rude.

"and even i that dont know that much about basket can..."

Instead of being negative, you could help with these such obvious answers. I don't mean to sound vain, but I'm very well educated and this isn't clear to me. Perhaps it is my education that enables me to see all the different alternatives (i.e. ambiguity).

I too is smart! I routinely reinforce that within my own sub concious with public displays of positive affirmations. Look at me!

lol good call

I'm not afraid of public "public displays of self affirmation". One who is happy with oneself is more likely to be happy with the world, hence helping the world to be a happier place.

If this is a problem for you then I turn the other cheek.

That is a very deep and profound thought. Happiness in the world. I like it.

I train guards and play Look inside here and there. I have a PG with DR 14 and IS 2. I also have a SG who I play on SF that has DR 12 and IS 7. Second player is much better at layups than PG...
