Thanks, that's what I would have thought. It's just that the Centers in upper divisions will have still better ratings.

your match ratings as a team will generally be better when you play against better teams. For individual players i doubt it, or atleast the difference isnt big enough for me to notice.

from my experience.

every season, my highest team ratings have always been against the best teams in the league. and yes I took enthusiasm and effort into account.

Maybe your starters played more minutes but the ratings are the same independently of the opponents.

I would absolutely love to see statistical evidence for both sides of this debate.

I've been told both stories and really have no idea. To me, it seems logical that the rating would remain the same, otherwise what's the point of having a rating?
