You should start with a 18-19 yo trainee, not a 22 yo. If you do get a young player to train, though, I see no problem in training this guy as well.

Can someone tell me how many weeks of OD training would a 27 years old player need?

which size, what secondaries?

I would say my PF needed roughly 6 weeks(2.06, no elastic effect) at that age, even when i didn't own him at this point ;)

He is a 6'3" guard. All Star potential. I'm not sure what do you mean by secondaries, though.

He wants to see the players skills to see if elastic effect will help his training go faster. Someone could give you a better answer if you just post his skills.

i would guess 4-5 weeks, with tendency to 5. But no guarantees.

I agree with CrazyEye it will probably take 4-5 weeks, most likely five. I also think its not worth it. Get a younger player training minutes instead of the 27 year old.

That is what I thought, too, but I'm pretty sure that he is already on his fifth (if not even sixth) week of training and yet there is still no change. And out of those 5-6 weeks, he got at least 3 weeks of training last season when he was 26 years old. I thought that would count for something.
But to answer your question, I wasn't really planning to train him this long, but with every new week that he wouldn't pop, I thought "OK, I'll train him one more week and that is it". I'm pretty sure we all had that kind of moment at least once while playing this game.
Anyway, what do you estimate? Should I try "one more week" or should I just give up?
