There are 2 defences 3-2 zones and 1-3-1 in your particular case i would suggest 3-2 zone because your opponent is already getting more offensive rebounds and when you use 1-3-1 your rebounding drops a lot.

Considering the original guy was outrebouding even playing M2M versus 3-2, I'm not sure I would go with 1-3-1. You'll take a big hit in rebounding with that.

3-2 should be good, but do you have better outside defenders, especially for the SG and SF positions? His SG ate your guy up from 3 point land (7-16), as did his SF. After Ackovic fouled out, how did his replacement do (it's hard to see who replaced him)? Maybe that guy could start.

Also, does your opponent ever switch to inside tactics? Doesn't seem likely, since your earlier game against him he did MOT/3-2 zone. IN general though, if your opponent can play a decent inside game, 3-2 might be a bit risky, but in this case I'd guess it would help you reduce his scoring a bit.

a 3-2 isnt too bad against an inside offense. sometimes its as good as a 2-3. I'd go 3-2 and take my chances.

3-2 can be a better defense overall, also against inside tactics, when you have good guards who can prevent easy passes to the opposing bigmen, or when your players have very poor secondary defense (e.g., when your guards have poor inside D, and your bigmen have poor OD). In those cases 3-2 might very well be the best defense to play, regardless of your opponent's choice.

If you have more balanced defenders, then in the case where your opponent's choice isn't so obvious, you might be best served by going M2M. If your opponent goes outside, then it might not be as effective as a 3-2. But if they go inside, the M2M will probably be better.

You have a point here. But 1-3-1 zone basically works when the opposing a team has a bad handling or passing PG because it puts a lot of pressure on him.. In this situation the PG is pretty good. So 1-3-1 might work. The safer option is obviously 3-2.. Looking at his team that is already better than opponent i wouldn't take a bet with 1-3-1 but play a safe with 32

stop worry about your def, becuase there is nothing wrong, ur opponent is only shooting 40%

its ur offense shooting 51.6% with 30ft that may not happen again.

and by the way, playing zone and a slower pace offense will limit the number of possessions and there for less reb and less foul

I would play a 3-2 zone but I'm warning you your opponent will still put up 100+ points, especially since you're playing a fast paced offense like push the ball.

COMPLETELY agree with this . . .

I recommend playing M2M with a slower offense (base even) and use playoff normal enthusiasm Saturday night. Then Sunday (back at home) run M2M with base or PTB. The combination of home court and the enthusiasm difference will give you the win.
