The cup is so random it is really unfair. There is a team this season that has made the top four with the easiest path ever. They are a good and well managed division I team run by a really nice guy so I mean no offence to them at all but look at this run:
Round 1 division III ranked #106
Round 2 division IV ranked #312
Round 3 division IV ranked #382
Round 4 division II ranked #89
Round 5 division III ranked #145
Round 6 division III ranked #66
Round 7 (top 16) division III ranked #139
Round 8 (top 8) division II ranked #21
They got to the top 4 in the nation without having to face a single ABBL or top division II team. Heck they got to the top 8 without having to face a single team ranked in the top 60 in the nation. So do they deserve to have a massive income boost forever because they got the incredible luck of having the easiest draw in history? This is on top of the hundreds of thousands in cup money and the ability to TIE each Thursday and preserve their GS while others had to CT with their starters. This is already the gift that keeps on giving do we need to make it more extreme?
