I added $220k in salary (including a $66k Canadian) and my merchandise dropped $5k.

I tanked my league game, but I tanked the last meaningful game I played with last week's merch too. That should've have no effect. I expected my merch to jump quite a bit, so this was pretty sad.

You got rid of your draftees...

That means no-home grown/local talent players.
That's why your merchandise took SEVERE hits.

Also, your draftees/home grown players, they got to be good for the level you are at and they also need to play minutes. Only then will you get a boost in merch.

Someone wrote on here once that your Merch amount has to do with the combined salaries of all your homegrown players. Is that true? If it is, that would be awesome.

Don't believe so. Mine was up well above $120k last season and my homegrown players salaries bumped up a little bit this offseason and my merchandise is back down around $80k.

Oh, I have some homegrown guys... Two of my crappy draftees from last year. Other than that I never have any home grown players, except in the beginning when I first started, because I have never had a good draft. Partly because it seems like I am always 13- 16th pick.

But I have never seem a huge drop like this before. Perhaps maybe my merchandise is so bad because I fired them all, instead of being able to sell at least one, like I usually do (for about 1000). Yes, they were all that bad, that they weren't even picked up for 1000.

Also, I believe if you have players on the leader-boards, the more, or the higher, or both, the more merchandising you get?

My merch dropped 15k after adding a stellar starting USA center. Something to do with the new season as a LOT of managers are talking about this

Mine dropped a lot also. And I came in 3rd in my first season in DIII. Never saw a big drop like that even after a loss to a rival or tv game. Something must have changed in the calculation this season. Maybe they'll announce it as part of the new season?
