I wouldn't say that a level 4 trainer is a waste of time
I bought a 19 year old perrenial all star PG at 19 yrs old
I will cap him as a multi skilled PG this season at age 24
that includes big man training even though he's short,
this week was his first with a level 5 trainer
all else with level 4

That's very inspiring! Did you 1pos train him when you could? I'm having a hard time capping stars with such training progress..

Are you serious with those sublevels? You pay for what you see, otherwise imagine paying 1mln more for marginally better coach. No sense.

And are you aware how hard it is to calculate differences between trainings and coaches? Age, height, correlated skills, coach level and assuming you got 48 minutes. Moreover it seems like every new player is born with sublevels. To make an approximate percentages you'd need 2 teams with exactly same players and coach, but then still players have sublevels.

You can measure the distance or even distances between pops, thus negating sublevel factor. And you hear numbers being thrown out there like 2pos = 1pos x 0,7, level 6 is 5% better than level 4, but I guess you're right those numbers are hard to believe. So on what basis are people willing to spend a mil. on level 6 coach? is it just wishful thinking? I guess I'm not satisfied with level 4, and you still have to pay 500k+ for level 5, so I want to try level 6, but if it IS only 5% better, my team will start improving at FTs instead.

just 2 pops in a skill does seem a tad slow, even with two position training. But maybe if you have unlucky starting sublevels, and you're doing something like pressure training on non-ideal height trainees, it might happen. Really it's hard to answer your question without more info. Also, if you're doing two position training but only wondering about two of your trainees, does that mean that the other guys who got training did well?

As far as trainer levels, I do think level 4 trainers get the job done for most trainees pretty well (and perhaps most cost effectively). I use a level 5 trainer, and have been happy with the slight boost in training speed. But now is a bad time in the season to get a new trainer. Wait until the middle of the season, and the prices will come down. I think I got my level 5 trainer with ~27K salary for 50K.

Thanks! It's encouraging. 27k is a bit much but certainly cheaper than paying 700k for 17k salary. I didn't mention other trainees, cause they're at least 21 and maybe even close to cap, and they got 1,1 and 3 pops. I trained pressure, IS and PA. 18yo is 6'5, 19yo is 6'7.

I think alot of people, especially new players, put to much emphasis on trainers. They will spend around 20000k a week plus the signing cost, for trainees that are not very good. I have only got trainees that have star - allstar potential (even a starter actually) And at first I had an advanced and then realized I was paying out the noise for him. Then I bought a basic with career extension ability, and he does great for me and it only cost 2000 to sign him. I was training pressure and would get 1 OD pop out of each of them every 2-3 weeks. Not bad for a basic!

It sounds as if you used 2 position training.
When it comes to skills like PA-JR & OD, it will slow things to a crawl.
Important trainees need the 1 pos training.
If that were the case, guaranteed you would have received at least 1 more pop per player.

3 pops in 12 weeks is not exactly a reason to switch to 1pos training. Is level 4 that much worse than 5?
2pos you can train and play 5 guys without losing so much in terms of league production. But playing a rookie 48 mins will definitely hurt you. So, is it 50%, or 70% or 67%? Cause if it is not 70% as advertised, but rather 50% 1pos training appears much more attractive.

Difference between a level 4 and 5 is 2 or maybe 3 pops in 1 seasons so thats not really a big difference.
I still have have a trainer level 4 ,because I have to spend a lot of money for my arena for expanding.
Last seasons a trained a 18 year old trainee C with level 4 and I got 12 skillpops,thats not bad.
But I did train mostly 1 position ,and I did 3 weeks rebounding on 2 postition.

A quick perusal of Wozz's training speed analysis suggests 2 position provides 70% of the training that 1 position training does.

For instance, the average skill increase in OD for:

Pressure PG: 0.38
Pressure PG/SG: 0.27

Which is right around 70%. This is irrespective of height, age, and trainer level.

Similarly, the average skill increase in IS for:

Inside Scoring C: 0.44
Inside Scoring C/PF: 0.31

Again, right around 70%.

The rest of the training options break down similarly.
