I agree Howard is not the reason why the Lakers are struggling all i was saying was that i do not think he is having an all star season and you are also right with Gasol. I think Gasol needs to go to a different team he does not seem happy anymore but he is also on the down side of his career.

Not really because then the Lakers don't have a center... And I doubt BKN even want Howard since they are doing pretty well as is. Plus Min doesn't need a center because they already have pekovic and you can't find a player like Kevin love in a lot of drafts so I ont see them trading him. This trade has a lot of problems with it and it would never happen.

They still wouldn't trade him for a Center when he's a PF though. And since there is no other PF in the game right now that is better than him, they wont trade him unless they get a better deal. If Lakers could give Min Pau Gasol, supply them with a key player from another team (At the SG/SF position), and then a first round pick or two then they might make the trade but i still doubt it.

"What happened to the old days when stars stopped caring about not having enough talent around them and just put teams on their back. This siht of what are meant to be Superstars looking to add 2 more 'Superstars', 2-3 aging superstars, and then strong vet role players in order to contend is insane. Start putting a team on your back, or stopping thinking you are a superstar. If you want 15+ mill per season then be prepared to do a hefty load of the work rather than complain, its not like Min is tied down by a few insane contracts or anything."

I completely agree, it is starting to remind me of AAU youth basketball. I am afraid the days of a super star and key players around the star are over with. Miami has 3 of the best players in the world (well maybe 2) how do you not win a title with James and Wade and yeah go ahead and throw in all star Bosh, and the Lakers with Kobe and Dwight and Gasol and Nash i know it has not worked out YET, maybe i am just jealous because here in Utah we have Mo Williams and Al Jefferson and Milsap they are good steady players but far from superstar status. +1 to you.

wah wah wah wah.

Thats all I'm seeing. Who are these superstars that do it by themselves? I'll be waiting for this list. Their have been 2 superstars that have taken teams with marginal to no talent to finals. They both lost, 1 was Allen Iverson, and he had Chris Weber, post prime. The other was Lebron James, who took a no talent team to the Finals against the Spurs. You've had the Pistons with Billups, Hamilton, Big Ben, Rasheed, and Tayshawn. No superstar but 5 All star caliber players. You have the Mavs, who bailed out Irk Nowinski, with Kidd, Jet, and Tyson Chandler.

Just because what you think happened, didn't really happen, doesn't mean its suppose to happen. Revisionist history at work. Reality people, come back to reality.
