Well my plan backfired -_- my dumb coach switched my SF out of the starting lineup and started my backup PF/C instead so my Center is playing SF defense which sucks because he is getting destroyed and I'm not even scoring because my whole offense revolved around my SF dropping jump shots on the other teams center... therefore im down 40-19 half way through the 2nd.

Didn't work for me when I tried it during last season's playoffs (55874501).
This was my SF's (C in this game) worst game in the playoffs and he took less shots than he usually does, even though he should have been the best matchup.
Of course that was just an experiment because I wanted to lose the game anyway, but it's safe to say that the experiment failed miserably.
I'd say that playing an SF at PF instead of Center yields better results.

You'll soon find out what it's like when you play Eclypse :)

Did you use LCD?

Based on my observations, your SF would need to have high DR and IS too, because he'll be doing driving layups against the C as well. I do notice that the main scorer in such an offense do not make many 3s if they are played at the post, doing more driving layups and mid range jumpers than if he was placed at SF mismatch against a 3C LI.

This seems to match my limited experience with this set up against similar level opponents. In (49358013) my designated shotchucker got injured 4 minutes in, but he had taken two driving shots, three open jumpers (plus drawn a foul) and two three point shots. The guy who came in for him ended up with 3 inside shot attempts, 15 driving shot attempts, 10 jumpers attempted and six three pointers attempted.

I used to play patient with a scorer in the PF position. You need to have good driving (wondrous up is better) for your player to make it work. And have good GS to boot also. I use follow depth chart. Maybe your backup center had a high salary or about the same salary of your SF that is why the switch was made.

Your other players skills also have to be considered so that your SF will be the one scoring most of the shots. If there are other players in your guard position that has a good shooting also then they may take away a considerable bit of shots from your SF. Have good stamina also for your scorer as tire in the later quarters.

sample game against a league 1 opponent in a cup. almost won. its nice to use when you are desperate to win against opponents you know are hard to beat.

Here is another one from the guy who popularize this kind of offense in our country.

Question: how well does playing patient with a BEAST scoring SF at the center spot work? I've heard of some people doing it, but haven't really looked into to see how we'll it works. Will an SF with stupendous jump shot and prominent jump range in a patient offense destroy the other teams center? Any opinions or examples are appreciated.

check this dude (14721498) in season 20/21..at this time he had round about 120 total skillpoints ( now he is close to 140 -- without stamina,fw,experience of course ) and dominated his league with patient

advice for patient: ur weapon needs the highest driving in ur team

Cheers and good luck

( in my eyes that tactic can be a killer one if u do i in the right way )

btw: check my profile and join the new and fresh world fed....awesome power baby :p

maybe I'm going to ask a stupid question, but wouldn't it be even better to attack with a Motion tactic, if you are making a SF play as a C?
supposing you can have 2 non-shooter PG in your team (the second one playing as SG), you could focus your shooting on C-PF-SF positions, and maybe attempting more 3-pointers from the C position?

has anyone already tried that?
