Agree with the premise, but I think gaining more blocks in the zone is because the center is always going to be in a position to defend the basket and blocks will be a priority, where (in theory) in M2M versus certain offenses, he may be covering the opposing team's center who could be 15 ft. away from the basket in a jump shooting position.
