Love the whole mood & atmosphere of this song. (1930s jazz & film noir meet hip hop). I remember hearing this way back in November & it getting stuck in my head. It's got a video now:

L'Orange - Alone feat. Blu

Thoughts?
(since you're probably way more into hip hop than i am... sincerely want your take)

I like it. I'm a sucker for rappers that use samples(or feature artists) from other genres. It just sounds right, haha. Here are some quick examples I found, but there are tons others, probably better too. These are just some of my favorite artists, not the best samples.

I've heard of Blu before, everything I've heard about him is good, but I haven't listened to too much by him.

I'm a post-punk lover
Joy Division - Disorder

Kind of a random question, but are you a fan of The Sisters of Mercy too?

Yeah, I loved especially "First and Last and Always"

Great album! I listened to the remastered version probably 100 times in a row.
(The original US mix was awful. )

Really wish they'd finally release a new album though. They have enough new songs: Summer, Arms, Crash & Burn... etc. They're good songs & they perform them live too.

Chance is good! And I don't usually like rap.
Even though I'm in high school, I like old music from the '60s. The Beatles are the band I listen to the most, and my current favorite song is 'Israelites' by Desmond Dekker & The Aces. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83Y2hv-3UCM)

I remember being really into that song. If you like 60's music maybe you'd like "Friday on my mind" by the Easybeats as well.

regular version:

live version with Stevie Wright's charisma cuteness and uncomfortable dancing starting at 1:54
