home team's an easy choice:

Normal - TIE - CT

I used to think the same... but the fact that the choice is too easy makes it also too predictable :)

Look at last year final of italian div.II.3.
The home team (team A) won the first game normal vs normal (2189040) (68-67) and tied the second... but also Team B TIEd the second game, and won (2189041) (93-91)... and then won the third game CT vs. CT (2189042) (83-82)... ned (team A's manager) is still having nightmares about it :D

I guess there ain't a perfect strategy...

PS: This final series is the best advertising for BB... with all three games ending on the buzzer.

Seems risky.

CT the first game and lose, and it's pretty much over. CT the first and win, and you still have to win one more while your enthusiasm might already be spent.

Since CT damages enthusiasm so much, seems only a good idea when it's a do or die situation.

Guys, there is no 3 games tactics in advance. Everything is done in relevance to the results.
If you have two matches in your arena I think the best is to start the first with normal and if you win, you play TIE in the second and CT in the third and most propably you suceed, or you play CT in the second to finish early with the series. ( I prefer he first tactic though), but if you loose then you have no other alternative than to play CT in both the two remaining matches.
If you have two matches away I think two CT is the only possible way to win the series, based and in the boost of your home arena in the second match, with te presupposition that you will win the first match in your opponent's arena.
That's all from me

Of course there is.

You decide the attitude for Game 1 with what you will do in Games 2-3 in mind.

Any two will do
Any three for me

That would be pretty foolhearty to CT the 2nd game after winning the first game. Not only would you lose the attendance from the third game, but also the extra training for your trainees.

the only right answer is: it depends on your opponent, and it might be partially gambling. Last year I gambled right.

the only obvious thing is: CT in the third game.

:)

Now also a quick reaction to the one asking why anyone would CT in the second game: because it might be your only chance to win the series. Example:
A playes normal against B in B's arena and looses. This means B played either normal, or CT. Next game B will likely play TIE to gain enough enthousiaism for the final game, BUT A is expecting B played CT the first game to certainly win it to be able to TIE the second game and plays TIE as well with a much better enthousiasm, since A only normaaled and did not have a huge drop.
So, A wins the second, and also the third game, due to higher enthousiasm. Should B had CT-ed in the second game as well, he'd probably won the series, where now he is the looser...

I tried to figure out a system last year, and believe me it took me days. In the end I came up with the result that there is no 1 way. Depending on how your opponent chooses his CT and TIEs you will always have a chance of loosing the title... So gamble; stick to your plan, and hope your opponent plays it the way you gambled, if not... well bad luck. Rememeber either he, or you will have bad luck, but someone has got to have it.

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

What tactics do you use if all around you are mutually TIEing to build up CT should they play you??

At what enthusiasm Normal at home can you still progress to an away team CT ??

So - all players being equal.

Home Normal 10 vs Away CT 10 - Outcome ____________?

Home Normal 10 vs Away CT 9 - Outcome ____________?

Home Normal 9 vs Away CT 10 - Outcome ____________ ?

Home Normal 9 vs Away CT 8 - Outcome ____________?

What do you guys reckon??
