My best player got injured for 2 weeks just before the playoffs. Depth is indeed the key, as I still managed to beat the league favorite who was a bit stronger already in the last game of the regular season and in the semifinals.

Does having a better doctor make much of a difference in these situations or is it more beneficial to have a better backup player?

I was probably second favourite before this injury but now its looking quite bleak in terms of winning

I think having better backups helps you better, because they will prove their worth in all games, while a doctor only helps when an injury would occur.

. Your out of luck for the playoffs because the way the games are played in fast pace.. There no time for player to heal and get back to help your team.. So it best to play towards your bench scoring points and defensive production.

Only thing that I can suggest is. If your bench is lacking a offensive scoring options put a starter on the bench in a mis match and your best bench defender as a starter.. and hope and pray that it works out., Good luck

Again this 100% optional not saying its going to wonders for you.
