The sad thing is that you just moved up and are still the highest ranked team in your league. You didn't belong here.

It looks like Ballus Maximus and Rogues will compete for the championship unless the Pimps In Training, DC Wizards or my Junkies can surprise.

I love how nobody but Ballus was mentioned from the Big 8. Rightly so... but it was still funny to read on paper lol. Last year I was just more or last trying to get to the semi's so I could get a paycheck for playing in Ballus's Arena.

Just look at the rankings, some of the teams in the Big 8 are weak. I don't take you guys lightly though...at least they are giving me a couple weeks to hold onto Simpkins before I have to make my final decision on whether or not to move him.

I took Georgia lightly last season, and received a beatdown for it. They're my pick to win that conference. Ballus is an old team, they won't be winning this league unless they add some new players.

I haven't looked into your situation with simpkins. Or if I have i've forgotten...*sigh*... old age. I just read the overextension tax forum thread. It was really interesting. Do you think the training exemption would help you keep him?

Personally I'm under the delusion that if we allow someone to win the division, we should have them run through the gauntlet to do so. For example, I'm solely convinced storms was not only the best team to promote, but will make whatever D.3 he went to hurt.

So I would like you to be able to keep whatever players you think will help you to win because I want our league IV.14 alumni to really earn there wins against you and me.

P.S. This soapbox was cool.

Thanks man that means a lot coming from your team. I hope I can live up to the hype lol. I actually had to go back and re-watch our game, and honestly I probably should have lost the rebounds by way more than 4. Btw do you train bigmen or centers?

Because I've been trying to work Shot blocking into my training and could use another manager to bounce ideas off.

Cheers!

My original plan was to put a strong emphasis on shot blocking for Hobbs and Aponte and see how that worked out with the revamped system. However, I kept track of all the big men in the age group and they were two of the best, so I decided to base my training on trying to get one of them on to the U21 team. That means they need to be real close to a 13 in IS, ID and rebounding by the end of this season.

So, that's what I'm working on for my training. And that means I had to scrap my shot blocking plans, though I'm still going to try and work some of that training in there as well. Their rebounding is fine, so everything I do the rest of the way will be single position center training.

I'm jealous man. I'm doing two position training. So, I have to buy trainees that have good SF/SG skills and then train them into PFs. Rather than just build my own players.

I really thought shot blocking was nicely revamped in the new system. Since my best center was averaging like 6-7 blocks per 48 mins last season, for the first few games. I also tended to notice that the higher SB my players had (even at the SF position) the more often I saw in the play by play that they "altered their opponent's shot".

Yeah, before there would be like 1-2 blocks a game total.

Damn it...I've been using TIE so I could try and win my Cup game, but that backfired. Now I'm 1-3 and eliminated from the Cup.
