I dont know why would you want to play with your starters when you are leading by 20-30, unless you need them to have 48 mins for GS(you certainly dont want some of your star players to get injured in last minutes of a game that you are leading by 20 points)... It is maybe because I had never lost a game in which I was leading with big margin, but in my opinion if your reserves can lose 20-30 points you should rather consider buying better reserves, than supporting this suggestion...

In NBA today, you have a lot of centers that are really bad in jumping, just like Kendrick. Those are all big and very strong guys, and because of their strength they can make a good position near the basket, and compensate for their lack of athleticism in jumping... Here are just some names popping my mind on this matter: Nikola Pekovic, Marc Gasol, Zach Randolph...

1) Basket Average while mantaining 12 players on the roster.
2) Avoid surprises in playoffs games with easy leads.
3) NT games with group standings decided by basket average, where minutes don't count towards game shape.

3. what's the point then in having more than 5 players on an NT?

2. Avoid surprises: It's the playoffs, thats when surprises are SUPPOSED to happen... Case in Point, Did you see the Colorado Avalanche vs Minnesota Wild, NHL (National Hockey League) Playoff game on Thursday? That may have been the biggest surprise/upset/comeback in sports history.

1. Fair point.

The Miracle on Manchester (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miracle_on_Manchester) would like to have a word or six with you about biggest surprise and comeback, at least in terms of the NHL.

Yep, well played. That is definitely a bigger one, and helps further illustrate upsets/surprises are a part of the playoffs and supposed to be possible.

Yeah, and as a Kings fan, other than that and one nice playoff run that went to pot after an illegal stick call, there was nothing to really look back fondly on until a few years ago. ;) I was kind of surprised you chose the Avalanche game as a major comeback/surprise though - my wife is an Avalanche fan so we enjoyed the way it turned out, but it seemed more like playoff hockey as usual... tight game with pressure packed moments late, and Patrick Roy's team wins. ;)
