Our draw looks pretty good, we don't have to play against China till last which should give us some time to build enthusiasm and build the team toward certain tactics. Are you still in the process of selecting the team? Are you posting them in the federation soon?

We've got our first game against ranked 80 Kazakhstan tomorrow night. Do you have any tactics in mind?

Season 32 team

Captain: Eric Nicodemou
Playing in 4 of the 5 World cup games for Australia last season, "Nico" has experience on his side. Sporting a nasty 100TSP to start season 32, is he a PG, is he a SG, is he a SF? What we do know is he is a jet.

Vice Captain: Franklin Freeman
Also a part of last seasons World cup as a 20yr old, Freeman will support Nico to steer team Australia to a victorious path more times than not.

Team list for season 32:
Eric Nicodemou
Kolya Wills
Timoti McGuigan
Ewan Price
Franklin Freeman
Ellis Facer
Jimmy Sengstock
Pin Nguyen
Charlie Raichura
Benji Nicholas
Adam Snyder
Huang Yurong

Looking forward to seeing how my boy Huang "the people's champion" Yurong goes. I imagine he'd have to be one of the the first 19yo draftees to make the cut in a long time - so good to see they are relevant under the new draft system.

Good luck for the season.

Nice start, and great contribution from a variety of scoring options. 30 assists is great, 9 3s is very effective from 21 attempts, and 5 only turnovers.

MVPs
3 votes- Franklin Freeman. 17pts on 7-13FG, 5 assists, 4 boards, 2 stls, 2 blocks.
2 votes- Ellis Facer. 19pts on 9-17 shooting. 5 assists, 3 steals, 3 boards.
1 vote- Pin Nguyen. 12pts of 6-8 FG, 10 boards, 5 assists, 3 blocks.

Next week we face Japan, who played a solid game against China. Good start team.

They are in the season 29 draft thread. I'd copy them over, but I'm on my phone.

He started at 63 tsp, so he had pretty outstanding starting skills.

Australia def Japan 100-67 (34296)

In a surprisingly close contest for most of the game, Australia has pulled away with a 33pt win over the Japanese. Whilst the box score shows the Australia team to be far too strong, it wasnt until the 4th quarter that the Aussies stamped their authority, pouring on 37pts. Whilst the rebounding was relatively even, it was the assists that showed as a major difference, with 33 to 16 helping Australia take the points.

Ellis Facer put in a huge individual performance, coming dangerously close to an illusive u21 Triple double, posting 16pts, 9 Assists, and 8 rebounds. Having the game go into junk time denied the star of the unique opportunity. 20 year old Adam Snyder made the most of his first starting appearance, pulling in 14 boards to go with 11 points and 2 blocks. Benji Nicholas tore apart opponent "half mitsubitshi, half suzuki" (35712928) from the bench, and team captain Nicodemou led all scorers with 23pts and 7 assists.

MVPs
3 votes- Ellis Facer- 16pts on 8-12 shooting, 9 assists, 8 rebounds.
2 votes- Nicodemou- 23pts, 7 assists.
1 vote- Pin Nguyen- 11pts, 9 rebounds, 4 blocks and 3 assists

Looking around the grounds, it was interesting to see New Zealand drop a game to Vietnam. China didnt win which was nice, but only because they had a bye. South Korea had the match of the week with a 3pt win over Thailand.

Next week is Pakastan. Dont forget, Monday night is NT night. 6pm AWT or 8pm AET. Come and watch the game live and scout future Aussie players for your team to one day own.

Resumed with a nice little percentage boost tonight.
(34302)

Didnt get to watch this one, so relying on the stats to tell me the story.
Given this, MVPs:
3 votes- Nicodemou- 19ps on 6-8FG. 3-4 3pters, 6 rebounds, 6 steals, 3 assists, 2 blocks.
2 votes- Price- 20pts, 14 boards, 2 blocks.
1 vote- Facer- 20pts on 8-12FG, 3-6 3pters, 3 assists.

Nice to see China drop a game tonight, tactical thrown game or reckless management? Either way, its a boost for us.
