I find a deep bench very helpful. I love having a solid backup at each position. I set my starters, one backup at each position, and then the starter as the 2nd backup. I get around 30 mins per game on my starters and 18 or so on my subs. So during the season Ill get a scrimmage and let the backups only play. That gets me 60-65 mins on each starter, 75-80 mins on each backup. I find that all 10 players end up with Strong to Proficient game shape by doing it this way. If I have my choice, I will always be 10 deep and run my lineups this way. If all of your players have good stamina it is really easy to run fast paced offenses and get the opponent's starters to tire faster. This gives you a huge advantage when the bench players have to come in. Most good teams are only 7-8 good players so if you can afford to be 10 deep you can always find ways to gain an advantage.

I have 10 players. 1 starter and 1 backup for each position. So I'll set my starters, then in the bench slots I'll put my 1 backup at each position as the first sub and in the 2nd sub slot I'll put the starter there. And my guys usually have the same solid game shape even though the starters get 60 mins a week and the backup get 70-80 mins a week.

I missed your question asking me about stamina. All 10
Of my guys have Average or Higher Stamina. I set my lineup like I told you for the first two important games each week and then I schedule a scrimmage in which I only play the 5 backups. So the backups only get around 35 mins in the first 2 games but they get an additional 48 in the scrimmage unless they foul out. On Strictly follow depth chart I find the starters get 60-65 mins in their two games and the backups usually get 17-18 mins. It may be different on real close games but I have not had many of those this season. I've either won fairly big or gotten hammered pretty good. In all my seasons though, this has been the best way to set my lineups and utilize my bench while keeping game shape solid. Everyone has different methods but I find when I go with an 8 man rotation my game shape takes huge hits.
