My goal was to beat the Iguanas. Mission accomplished. Wake me up in 3 months.

Looks like I'll have to revise my goals. So far I'm the unluckiest 0-4 team in history.
Is "bbstats" still a thing? Team ratings * 3 summed up and +1 for sublevels, ie. average (high) = 20?

Game one: equal effort, my bbstats 154 vs. opponent 157: loss by 7. ok, should have been close, tough break.
Game two: equal effort, my bbstats 159 vs. opponent 147: loss by 7. ouch?!
Game three: more effort by me, my bbstats 173 vs. opponent 171: loss by 12. c'mon!
Game four: equal effort, my bbstats 178 vs. opponent 165: loss by 2 on final opponent possession. Sigh.

obviously going by bbstats is simplifying matters a bit but at this rate I'm hoping to pick up a win when someone punts for the cup and settle for being the toughest 7th seed to ever see relegation.

It hurts my eyes to watch games in NBBA. Goal is to soak up that $$$ for a season!

I thought I had a decent team this season! Maybe I'll join you in the money soaking but I was hoping to hang around for a bit longer

So many teams likes yours have 800k+ salaries, I keep mine at the min 570k. Yeah I can grab a few 35+ vets with 1M+ but those are depreciating assets which means the net cost (salary + purchases) is around 4M for a season

Thanks for the analysis!

I thought I got a break from the schedule gods with Rocket Science to open the season -- a defense-heavy team like that benefits more IMO from enthusiasm as the season goes on. Really hurt to drop that game.

I definitely regret that Patient call against Redbull, that one's on me. I figured my US NT SG could get some points on his generally-undersalaried young guards, but maybe they're all OD or something because Driscoll didn't exactly light it up that game. Would definitely go back and change that one.

I'm sure the karma will even out as the season goes on. But I am one of the foul-ier teams in the league so I guess I should get used to that.

Boy, I don't know how many teams are left in the Cup, but it seems a bit early for Visionaries vs. TarTeam

We've got the ever-inspiring back-to-back matchup, playing on Tuesday and again on Thursday! Haven't played one of those in a few years.
