Tonight's opening montage shows the Triumph and tragedy of opening night.

Announcer: tonight some will find themselves ahead of the curve some will find themselves back in the mix and some will be left facing a uphill climb.

In the big 8...

In another renewal of the leagues oldest fixture deronimo will look to deal the generals a potentially debilitating defeat while snapping a seven season hex at the coliseum.

The brewskies look to build on their momentum from the opener against a Petersburg team that had their issues in the opener.

The bunnies will look to bounce back but may find that easier said than done against a cal club that looks like they are ready to make a run at getting back to d2

And in a battle of the new blood bloom County looks to knock off Neanderthals to serve notice to the slaughterhouse they are serious contenders

In the ever evolving club red....

The mavs look to hold home serve against Nebraska to claim a clean sweep opening week

Rockford also seeks a sweep for the week while a loss here puts Masters a little behind the 8 ball

The kitties also are in a position to claw their way to a 2-0 start as the rollers learn first hand about the misery that is a trip to the litter box

And Suffolk also finds themselves in position to put back to back triumphs as baconators is still looking to find the right recipe to compete in this league of death


Sybil will get her say. Alfred's angle and Lee's way are also featured this evening and we will take a look at the early action out on the transfer ticker. Your opening montage shows the scene out in the parking lots, the grilling, the chilling, the beers filling. Cutting to some action from the first two nights of action.

Announcer: with the weather starting to heat up so is the action here in the slaughterhouse. One side shows a lot of potential fight up and down the line. One shows a pecking order already being established. But one thing we have all learned in this league is appearances can be deceiving.

In the black and blue big 8 six of the 8 stand at a 1-1 mark separated only by PD

The only team yet to taste defeat in the boingers look to bounce the up and down generals.

While the only team to not yet taste a victory takes a trip to face a brewskies club looking to become a contender.

Deronimo looks to make amends for a road loss last time out, while the bunnies are looking to capitalize on the momentum of their surprising conquest of cal earlier this week.


Speaking of cal they get always dangerous Petersburg coming to Paws for a visit

Suffolk steps on the road to see what a trip to face the huskers will hold

Masters will be looking to set up a snare trap against the Mavs

The kitties will look to serve up the baconators

Tonight's montage features teams hitting the floor. From.exiting the tunnel in some instances to being introduced in the starting lineups in others.

Announcer: as the season continues there is still a lot left to define in the teams. Tonight is another step in the process.

The kitties look to continue their winning ways while the huskers come to the litter box looking to build momentum following their dramatic win Saturday against Rockford.

The mavs also look to hold home serve and to keep pace with the high rollers in town

Rockford looks to get back on track with the baconators seeking their maiden win of the season.

And Suffolk seeks to stay in touch with the top of the table as Masters will be looking to pull off a road coup to avoid slipping into the second division.

Over in big blue the battle for survival continues

Bloom county has a dangerous trip to the cave to face the bunnies

Cal has to overcome injury issues to get out of their trip to Neanderthals with a win

It's another edition of the Commonwealth clash as deronimo visits Petersburg

And the brewskies make a much shorter trip to the coliseum to face the generals in another edition of the battle of Bryan Blvd

Your opening montage consist of the best moments of the season thus far.

Announcer: with the summer kicking in the race to a title heats up. Now we start to see who can handle that heat and who will will.

Off in the big 8 the log jam in the middle will start to sort itself out.

The generals and Petersburg battle with early play positioning at stake.

Deronimo is in the unaccustomed position of a 1-3 start and host the brewskies in a contest they need to get back in contention.

In a battle between the top teams in the conference The boingers put their unbeaten record on the line against the bulldogs

And the bunnies will try to stay in sight against a Neanderthals club that it appears is already resigned to their fate

In a battle of unbeatens the kitties and Mavs face off with sole possession of first at stake

While at the bottom of the standings the huskers and rollers battle on stay out of the cellar


Rockford host Suffolk in a battle between teams still trying to figure out where they are going

And the same can be said in the contest between Masters and baconators

Tonight's opening package consist of smooth Slow mo shots of jump shots dropping, drives to the glass a couple of nice dribbles and passes.

The generals and bunnies both have stout cup tests coming two days hence. How each team plays it out this evening will tell a lot about Thursday.

Petersburg took the pipe in Greensboro on Saturday, probably does not bode well for the Neanderthals.

Bloom county seeks to stay the big 8's sole unbeaten though deronimo would like to deal them a surprise to vault themselves back into contention

And the brewskies short bench is battling a war of attrition which is not the way to deal with the bulldogs

The bunnies take on Petersburg as the bunnies seek to solidify their position near the top of the food chain

Three major injuries in seven games. Season is over. Time for rebuild.

I've had some head scratchers over the years.....and the Generals are usually good for one inexplicable loss a season...and the Neanderthals had every psychological advantage (CT vs tie, double gdp, home court) BUT YOU CANT LOSE A GAME LIKE THAT...but I look at the scores across the league and the generals will still be in third.

Actually I had a feeling something whack like that would go down when I was debating on the BB Facebook page with a chap from 3.8 who was talking about how tough that league is, and his retort is that at least "you got neanderthals to beat up on" and my response was that he was putting the whammy on me https://youtu.be/fnTbO26u9bQ

But in the words of Chris Berman that's why they play the game.
