The gap between the finals and the following season is a peak time for the market. Everyone is retooling their roster for the new season. Not selling players when the demand is there is poor business sense, so basically I had to list my players now regardless of off-season site issues.

Obviously I don't know. Maybe some preventive action maybe everything wasn't so smooth as it seems. I'm not here to defend anybody I just say it's risky to sell players during off-season process.

We have one specific calculation that always takes about 4-6 hours and during which all the transfers lock and fail. In order to prevent that, we need to reschedule the transfers that would end during that time. It's better to have no failed transfers and a stable site than pushing some deadlines.

Can you add this information somewhere. It sounds like there is no way around it, but if someone wants to list players at off-peak times for Europe, they would probably plan it so that the auction ends on a different day, if they knew auctions are automatically rescheduled when they end in that period on the day the calculations are run.

When transfers need to be delayed like this, it might be good policy to just move the affected transfers back 24 hours, to keep the times consistent. People often choose specific times of day for listings to ensure the transfers end during peak hours.

not sure, people may want the money as soon as possible (that is usually the case), so the choice should be theirs. Just add this information to Nickleon's new season posts and everybody can consider him/herself informed and decide whether he/she's fine with the 4-6 hours delay or if he/she prefers to list the player one day later or for an extra day (if supporter) at the preferred time.

The optimal solution would be to delay 6 hours by default and give the manager the option to add additional time, up to 18h

Stopping the market for 24/36/48 hours just to be sure there is no delaying auction seems a possibility. Who knows it might even speed up the process with less loads on the server.
This would work, but would affect everyone not just a portion of the market and generally seems like a more heavy handed solution

People should but not everyone does, especially if it's not copy/pasted for non-English speakers.
I honestly think this is the easiest, least invasive solution. I understand that it's only in English but it's better than nothing and would signal at least attention to the problem.
