Pretty sure it depends on the position you're looking for. Max TSP is more about a well-rounded skill set. It just depends on how many skills you can cram in before the primary skill set hits the cap. Below is an estimate of what skills contribute to a players cap based on their position. HoF cap estimate is 28 to 30. MVP 26-28. Superstar 24-26, and so on. You can still exceed these caps but that comes down to facilities/trainers, etc. This at least gives somewhat of a baseline.

I think this chart shows us how perfect position player should look. If there is so big difference in each skill, you can pick your points to create your perfect player, depends on if you want Bruce Bowen or maybe Reggie Miller style.

Thanks gang. Ive got a 23yo point guard with an All Star designation and 94 skill points. Im not sure how to tell if he's getting close to his max. He is 6' 2' with tremendous jump shot, sensational outside D, wondrous driving, prominent jump range, tremendous handling,sensational passing and respectable inside shot, inept rebounding, mediocre inside D and respectable shot blocking./
